I've ordered some bits to try and improve my Defy and keep the wheels on all of my bikes in good fettle;

1) Planet X CT45 carbon clincher wheels.
2) Continental gp4000s ii 25c
3) 3T ErgoNova Ltd carbon bars.
4) Shimano A600 pedals.
5) Planet X wheel truing stand.
6) Park Tool spoke tension meter.

Going to be busy this weekend!
I recently got some 3t carbon ergonova bars, got them for £150 I think, they had a £250 rrp but we're quite heavily discounted. I really like them. I can't compare directly to my old bars as my old bars were 4cm wider but the 3t ones do seem to dampen vibrations that bit better. In really liking them. Hope you do too.

Oh.... They're hilariously light too!

Hope freehubs are very loud. I think Chris King make a racket too.
It usually means they need some lubrication. I remember speaking to Cliff Royce and he said that loud hubs were in need of grease...

That said, the way a CK hub is put together is quite different having pulled one of mine apart, so perhaps it doesn't apply to all hubs...

Does anybody want to make use of my Rapha 20% code?

Got one for completing the survey but an impending house move and wife on maternity means no Rapha purchases for me for a while!

Valid until 19/07/15

It does depend on the hub, my hope one is loud, always has been, always will be. My fulcrum wheels are silent, unless they need grease, then they get loud.

I need to buy - yet another - Garmin HRM strap and probably sensor.

Either I sweat Alien blood, or they're crap. Lucky if they last a couple of thousand km.

Both our Garmin hrm failed apparently the 'fix' is to cut between the two poppers and seal it with a lighter so it ends up like this *)(* stops a short circuit caused by salt , washing won't fix it.

Alien blood, must be! wink

(I've had my second-hand HRM and strap since October 2013, and have ridden 6670 miles with it, and, fingers crossed, I've had no issues with mine)

Had enough of my front wheel on my Jekyll being a Shimano splined hub and not being able to fit a floating decent rotor on it, as struggling to stop even with a 203mm disc on Zee 4 pots, so went searching for a 24 hole 15mm axle hub !! and came up with a place in Taiwan. Ordered it and arrived in a week. Then with a digi calipers and ruler and a website , worked out spoke lengths , ordered some DT Swiss spokes and built it tonight. Now I can order the Uberbike floating rotor with 15% off this weekend ....... but they out of stock... damn. The new Discobrakes Kevlar brake pads I ordered last week are pretty impressive on the Zee's mind you. Worth a try if you need pads.
Also replaced a horrible noisy Hope BB on my commuter with a shimano xt one. The silence is golden. I did replace the bearings in the Hope recently, but at a tenner for the xt one on C.R , its a no brainer as one Hope bearing is £15.
Also a Ritchey seat post for my 29 er to try and get rid of the Thomson seat post issues of creaking and that a 27.2mm post is actually 27.14mm, which doesn't sound much but is slipping and creaking because of it.
Not been here much as too busy making the most of the summer, but fancied a day off the bike tonight.

Exact same cap as the Elite jossanova bottle. My "go to" bottle now, great system. Especially as I have impaired tongue movement and swallowing following my op last year.... These have been much easier for me than traditional caps with a "push-down to seal" type unit.

I have a 950ml and 750ml version. Sadly the 950ml doesn't fit in the vertical part of my frame, only the diagonal... Otherwise I'd have 2 for longer rides!

Really starting to enjoy cycling this year. Bought a road bike a few months ago on the cycle to work scheme and have now started upgrading the mountain bike I bought a few years back and never used. Best upgrade so far without a doubt is the forks, fitted some rockshox Reba's, whole world of difference.

I have two as well, nice bottle to hold but they do leak more than the camelback's.

Hi E65Ross,
I got my 3T bars for £190 which were heavily discounted from Chain Reaction.
I chose them for their profile, lightness and vibration damping.
I'll let you know what they ride like after I've fitted them.
