But used and for a bargain price. Looking forward to trying big wheels and playing with that rear shock.

Let me know what you think please. I'm giving serious consideration to getting rid of the Ribble road bike and getting a 29er full susser.

Don't look at HUKD then, there's a deal on some TIME pedals...

Will do. Mostly inspired by mate who absolutely flies on his Evil The Following including a very tidy result at the Megavalanche and in various Enduro races and is very much a 29 convert. I'm hoping it'll still be fun for local trails and mucking about on.

A record amount of time without spending, a whole 5 months.

Thought i'd try some Gore gloves as the Castelli ones have fallen to pieces in under a year, I am sick and tired of that brand now. Bib's, skinsuit and gloves...good fit but poor quality.

Obligatory Assos creme as I ran out a month ago and, well, sod that. New bar tape and cable set for the Wilier which although about to be retired in Ireland stills needs to be usable.

Next, new bike build time. Toyed with the BMC but fancy something very different.

Massive purchase today.....

Just got a Wahoo Kickr to help me through the winter and start doing some well structured interval sessions.

Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLS wheelset for my Cervelo S3.

First outing this morning on my commute. Look & sound great and an unexpectedly comfortable ride. Couldn't tell if any faster at the time as forgot to attach my wheel magnet when swapping them over last night... However, uploaded to Strava when I got into work and seems I set a new PB time for commute despite not trying very hard. Proper outing planned tomorrow for a century ride to the Malverns and back. Can't wait as for once, the wind is forecast to be a meagre 4-5mph.

In an attempt to encourage myself back onto the bike by way of purchasing shiny things, I have today taken delivery of Powertap P1 pedals and have a Fizik Antares Versus on the way.

I didn't thing the P1s had even been released yet but ChainReaction had some on my desk this morning!

Well the new wheels turned up a few weeks ago. Roll very well and the 25mm tyres come up at 27/28mm.

Tsch.

You should've taken a picture of it leaning against a gate. Then we could have done the whole Pimp My Ride gate-on-your-gate thing.

No gate, but is this any good ?
Love the angles on that frame. Makes me want a classic to tool around with.

Nice wheels! Mine have been faultless and have taken a few nasty potholes without any bother too.

Nice Build, look forward to seeing that. I can't wait for the winter to get back onto the trails again, really enjoyed it last year as a nice change from the roadie.

Funny enough I dusted off my Giant Trance yesterday and went for a spin around the Chilterns, 29 miles of which 27 was off road. Forgotten how much fun (and hard work) it is, no freewheeling or daydreaming - full on pedaling and looking for what is down the trail waiting to have you off.......loved it!
