After some Ebay advice please

Won some Team Issue Belin/Santini new (as new with tags) shorts on Ebay.co.uk from a dutch Seller (company) , postage was a bit steep @ £7 , but fair enough I knew that. Great shorts, already have 2 x pairs and wanted another but without the usual £180 price tag!

Just got them in the post and they are XS instead of S and are slightly different from the pic. Looks like they have sent me the wrong pair and XS team issue shorts are bloody small. Looking back on ad, it clearly states small not xs.

Anyway, I'll raise it with them in a mo, but do I have to pay for postage back, or can I get them to as its their error?

Cheers, apologies for waffle.

Well I just bought a new Dura Ace chainset for my Colnago C59.
Now selling the Ultegra 6800 chainset if anyone's interested?

Last mtb to get XT I spec shifters ordered from Merlins at £37 a set seems total theft. The SLX ones on the Cannondale Jekyll do show their quality and don't have the snap shift of XT and I can move my dropper post lever closer to the bars and the rear travel adjuster on the other bars I can reach without moving hands across the grips. Should be here be Thursday. Looking forward to Snowdon, Coed Y Brenin, Penmacho and Antur Stiniog on it next week as its tester.

Ordered some Challenge Limus 33 Open tyres. Should boost me 70 or 80 places In the next racebiggrin

Steve
The tyres arrived last week, but I've been told that to get the full potential from them, I need latex inner tubes. This allows the tyres to run down to 30psi for grip.

Now, Wiggle are out of stock of the tubes and they are 2 weeks away from re-stocking. My next race is in 10 days time!

Can't decide whether to use them with standard tubes or be patient and wait.

I would be prepared to bet you a whole English pound that you can't tell the difference between latex tubes and butyl tubes with those tyres

Apart from having to blow the latex ones up more often

Do people still use tubes in mtb wheels? Tubeless all the way!

CX racing, not MTB. I can't afford tubeless wheels so am trying to use a clincher at low pressure.

You can convert any rim to tubeless. A roll of gorilla tape and a stans valve makes the job done for a tenner. I only have one pair out of 8 pairs of wheels on bikes bought as tubeless rims ( mavic 819's). Then just buy some Stans fluid. They will roll better than latex tubes, seal punctures and should be fine at 30 psi. Done this for over 8 years now without issues.

Recently bought a racecap for me velomobile, first outing was a 1hr race at Shorpe outdoor velodrome where i managed to average 34.1 mph for the hour.

I appreciate it's probably not what you are used to seeing here!

Late night Thursday for Pedal On , means I got a second Endura long sleeve top tonight. Decided on the 'nice blue' to match my lid , rather than a second red one. Thank god for their 'web price card' as makes it nicely priced against the usual suspects.
Also fitted the XT shifters on the Jekyll, which are so much snappier and better than SLX. Also had 4 sets of Kevlar pads turn up from 'Noah and Theo' off the bay. Thought I would give them a try as an intermediate between organic and sintered now autumn is here, as I found out yesterday fighting the slippery roots and leaves on my local loop.

Swapped bikes with my mate t'other night. He has an awesome CX saddle perfect for the SS mtb, had to have one (and it matches my grips now)

A mate has just had his Garmin Edge 810 delivered so I bought his Garmin Edge 500 off him. Amazon have also just delivered Zinn & The Art of Road Bike Maintenance as I am not sure on the bike servicing capabilities at my next work posting (Seychelles for the record biggrin).
