All arrived safely, but the Wiggle packages arrived WITHOUT ANY HARIBO!
This simply won't do. Last time I'm using Wiggle!
A friend of mine complained about the lack of Haribo and they sent him a second package later that week containing JUST Haribo. Expensive way to buy it though. My last bag cost well over £100... and the one before that...This simply won't do. Last time I'm using Wiggle!

Because I slavishly went with the black Castelli I'm feeling a bit guilty when the club emails keep trying to shame people into wearing at least semi-visible clothing during these early starts at this time of year, so I went for one of these Proviz Nightrighters in fluoro 'cos they are going cheap. 10% cashback and a free pair of lights too.
I'll keep the Castelli for post-ride posing in slightly better weather

Hehe, yeah, I get that argument, but I'm sure we have all had semi-visible cycle ninjas appear from out of the gloom from time to time, even ones which in retrospect probably have adequate lighting/reflectives.The worst time is dawn/dusk and when you're approached at three-quarters (roundabouts etc.). Darker clothing with minimal/no reflective panels (which only work if lights are shining right at them AND the person is looking that way) and lights that may only direct <5% of their power to the side mean we can be all but invisible to the average driver. Rain, fog etc. only makes things worse.
I'm of the opinion that a bit of fluoro, or even a white/pink/light coloured top can't really hurt in those circumstances.

Not so much parts, but a whole bike.
Ordered a Brompton S series, 3 speed in raw lacquer with Shimano hub dynamo.
Raw looks great - and they know how to charge for it - in the same way I paid £60 for full orange. Impressed with the dynamo as well. Ordered a Brompton S series, 3 speed in raw lacquer with Shimano hub dynamo.
Not that mine has seen much use - fits nicely in the car to take on holiday, or when the car goes for service in the next town (16 miles) - ridden in the Highlands and through Cheddar Gorge. Just wish it was a little lighter but as my current main bike is titanium I couldn't justify the Brompton in the same.
Always welcome in our local Chinese restaurant - they love their gadgets and love to see the bike being carried in.

Nice bike, just ordered another myself, s6 with longer gears.
SHMBO & the two daughter will have theirs in the new year, in time to chuck in the camper van for the season.I appear to have accidentally bought a Brooks B17 Special saddle in Brown & Brooks Ergon EG-1 leather grips to match!!!!

Just caved into the Black Friday and bought a pair of Schwalbe One 25c tyres for the road bike to try for a bit more comfort and less wheel damaging rides from our smooth roads and also an Altura waterproof, which I don't need an expensive mtb jacket as trash them in a couple of years from talent failure crashes and brambles and branches. All for just over £72 , which is good. I also got last week a velosolo chainring as the Uber one seems a bit flimsy and the chain tension seemed like I had an oval ring on the Stooge. It is now perfectly round with the Velo one.
Couldn't resist a couple of Wiggle deals, but I didn't go too crazy
Some new brakes. I know they're the 'old model' and probably not much better than the new 105 brakes I have now, but they look nicer and I need to upgrade the Tektro stoppers on my other bike anyway so I can swap the 105s onto it.

A pair of these, black, in 25c ready for the spring

Stunningly Merlin delivered my new tyres and jacket within 20 hrs of ordering, which amazes me. But they didn't have a great deal on a new GPS, as my Bryton is being awkward with charging and downloading recently, so I was given the nod on getting a Garmin 810 with performance and navigation packs from Chain Reaction and a new rear mudguard, as the 26 inch one on the 29 er Stooge, means it manages to spray my bum and camelback with an inch of mud and misses the guard. I tried to stick an extension on the original and will last Sundays ride, but split the plastic when riveting it on. Also got a rubber cover for the Garmin as I do seem to have more thumbs than fingers at times.

Maybe too late to tell you but whenever the Bryton I used to have got moody about syncing/charging I found cleaning the connector on the cable with an earbud dipped in isopropanol alcohol did the trick.Cheers Six Pot Belly. The connector that clicks in the back has lost its tension to hold it for charging. Since I ride a lot on my own, wanted to also be able to map and the wife can follow my ride, while I am riding, in case of me getting into issues. Also I can connect my Di2 on the road bike to it as well and she said I could have one, which is a great reason to get one, although waiting on her spending spree to even things up !!
