After years of scoffing at the price of flash flat pedals, I've decided to try some Boomslangs
Also the best name ever for a pair of pedals. In my experience the shoes are as important as the pedals though. Despite them not lasting very long, Five Ten shoes are sooooo grippy. I just bought a pair of the new freerider contacts a few weeks ago. They're famed for for being like a sponge too, but the new ones are better and I doused them in muc off fabric protect (which is excellent)Other recent purchases include:
- EVOC freeride Enduro Blackline hydration back (with back protector)
- Sixsixone AM MIPS helmet
Both expensive but super comfy and after years of injuries (and recently becoming a dad for the 1st time) I tend to like investing in things that make mountainbiking a bit safer...

I may not have fitted hem yet, but I think I may already be sold. They best be grippy though, because the pins look brutal.
They probably won't bite, but if they do, it's occasionally fatal...
?
Ragley Mmmbop 2016 frame and all the bits to hang off it XT, Yari etc except for wheels as decided with the new thru axle standard that my full sus bikes have finding their way to hardtails and being so easy I don't need another set of wheels can just swap about as required. N+ 0.5 I figured was easier to justify.

Bit jealous. I really want a titanium telescopic seatpost for mine.
Brompton originals cost more, weight for weight, than gold! But these are good (although not telescopic..):-http://www.brompfication.com/45-titanium-seatpost....

I sent him the measurements, and never heard back, presumably he thinks I'm taking the piss.
My sons have outgrown the longest seatposts I can find for their first 26" MTBs, so:
On-One Inbred vertical dropout 26" frames x2
Shimano Altus disc brakes x4
SLX 180mm discs x2
SLX 160mm discs x2
IS - 180mm FR post mount adaptors x2
IS - 160mm RR post mount adaptors x2
I have one pair of 6-bolt disc wheels, need to get another and may yet find myself juggling headsets as I have some fork swaps to make into the bargain. Fingers crossed they will get something out of stripping and then building their own bikes for the first time.
Plus a headset for my do-it-all Allez as the old one is crunchy, and an Ultegra HT2 BB as one of the BB bearings has seized - as per the headset too much time left outside after washing, I think. Loads of brake blocks, too, as the roads in these parts are so filthy that they barely see 500km on the rear.
Oh, and a Garmin 810. But not until Friday.
