My summer commute is yellow & black & my posh club bike is blue & black , so one pair of each thumbup( i'm such a colour tart)

I did have a pair of these that i got in the sale from Rose but managed to lose one up on box hill. I was looking to replace them & at this price it really was a no brainer, even being skint after crimbo it had to be done.

8 Watts at 40 km/h is still 8 Watts at 40 km/h though:

But Team Sky don't use them, so I won't. wink

I had these delivered yesterday, ended up with 3 pairs to get free delivery so the mrs has some and I have 2 pairs because between commuting and cyclocross racing I'm sure to wear them out at some point. Tried them out this morning, very comfortable and warm, not tested how waterproof they are yet!

My current 'all weather' Sealskinz (a few years old) have a thin liner layer that clings to your hand when you remove it and makes it very difficult to put the glove back on when sweaty.

Are these the same? I'd like to get a pair if not.

I'm not sure, I've taken a photo for you, hopefully that will help:

I have a pair and yes they can be a pain if trying to get them back on mid ride, the left is worse than the right with my pair. Not as bad as my older pair for the lining coming out though and one is worse then the other. The old pair have actually stopped doing it now they have been washed many, many times.

Thankfully, for commuting and 'cross taking them on and off mid ride won't be an issue. But are they waterproof? Last week I ended up wearing snowboarding gloves and hoping for the best when I changed gear.

Until you have washed them a few times yes. They will need re-waterproofing.

I have the same problem with Sealskinz! Utter ste! No dexterity, so if you want to eat a gel/bar you HAVE to take them off, and then you have the problem with getting the fking things back on.

Having been out this morning for a couple hours in consistent rain and cold winds, I'd also forgotten that they aren't that waterproof or warm! Trying to get my front door key out at the end of the ride was not fun. So complete fail and best avoided at all costs! I wouldn't touch another Sealskinz product off the back of these!

Jimbo.

Welcome to my world. Tried an ISM Time Trial on the TT bike, loved it, now run ISM Attacks on all's the bikes. Expensive things to like! Although they do crop up on eBay quite regularly

Don't know about the seal skins but I wear these in all weathers,

http://www.cyclesurgery.com/pws/UniqueProductKey.i...

So far this year they have deal with minus 7 degrees, only got painful above 35kmh for extended periods (that was dry), and 3-4hr rides in the pouring rain between 2-5 degrees. They do get wet but seem to keep the heat in.

I can open doors when I get back! I wear them most of the time or if the weather is ok, nothing at all.
