Just picked up a new frame, CAAD10 disc black inc

Matt/gloss black with gold logos, gloss black has a nice gold flake to it:

I've also bought R785 hydraulic Di2 brakes, just need internal battery/charger and some rotors if I can find somewhere selling them for sensible money. Then decide wether to buy a BB30 chain set or convert to run my Ultegra.
I have a spare charger forsale if your interested?

Sderiously.. WTF is going on with the handlebar setup on that bike? Looks like using the drops would be almost higher than the tops??
Never mind that, that patch above the skirting board in the second picture needs some attention.

I am planning on leaving my new bike at home and taking old one with me (working on a project away from home). So I need sets of kit right, so have just bought> Northwave SRS shoes, Giro helmet (in fluro yellow/green), 3 pairs orange Giant socks, 2 insulated drinks bottles, upright bike pump, garmin cadence sensor.

Just need to get everything packed before SWMBO realises it just wasn't a second bike I bought (which was slightly above the "agreed" budget)....

When posting pictures of bikes in kitchens, hallways, gardens and anyhwere else it is standard practice to critique the surroundings just as much as the bike, so very much on topic wink

Hmm. Does look a bit odd in that pic! Just a combination of the wide bars and angle of the pic I think.

The skirting/wall is getting attention, hence the bit that's been filled! Bloody Hoover hehe

And I like the green tongue out

They've always been beyond what I'm willing to pay despite wanting one for ages, they've dipped below £100 for the non MIPS version down from the original £200+ when I first tried one on.

Bought a set of Rockshox Pikes (160mm) to replace the very old Fox 36 Talas on my Lapierre. They hadn't been serviced in about 6 years, and were a bit stiff, so I thought I'd treat the bike to an upgrade. Pretty good deal from Bike-Discount in Germany.

Also bought some new tyres (High Rollers) for a trip to Wales in a few weeks.

Search for Challenge Open Strada for the clincher version, open standing for open tubular i.e. the same casing as the tubular tyre but instead of being sown up with a latex tube inside, they attach a clincher bead on.

Hence Vittoria Open Corsa SC / Pave etc.

I've just gone for some tan wall Open Corsa SC in 25mm, can't wait to ride them with latex tubes.

Also check out the Veloflex Master, another well regarded open tubular tyre and a great price here http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/v...

Cheers for the replies.

It was the £52 for a set that piqued my interest. Lots of similar quality gumwall clinchers are pricey, although I regularly check to see if there are any deals. I want a pair to set my '90s bike off properly, like the original look it had when it was new, with Michelin Tracer tyres on it.

Those Veloflex Masters look the part, and at a fairly digestible price too. I'll be wanting tyres that are happy on gravel too, so that means that 'suitable' and 'affordable' may be mutually exclusive. I'll keep looking for now.

Clearance will probably be your limiting factor on an old bike then, otherwise something like the Challenge Strada Bianca in 30mm would be perfect.
