SS? I heard you can end up with chain, mech, cassette, real wheel interface issues and a walk home.

I was about to post a link to Garmin Edge 520s for £168 delivered but having gone back to copy the link they seem to have all gone!

Yes, I missed out. Mate at work ordered about an hour ago though.

This looks a tidy bit of kit, really looking forward having a play with it.

I'd be interested to hear your views on it. I saw that advertised recently and also thought that it looks like a nice neat piece of kit.

Some Foakley from Aliexpress, will be sending them to my mate who's an optician upon arrival for UV testing. This was an interesting watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voUiWOGv8ec I never knew Luxottica owned all those brands.

Yup, and IMO have practiacally killed the sunglasses range as a result. I went ot their Convent Garden store last week and their selection was poor to say the least! It was all the cheap, thick rimmed plastic stuff which just looks pants. They only had 4 models of metal or carbon frames in stock

As a life long Oakley wearer, its sad to see. I own 4 pairs currently, and was looking to increase it, but theres bugger all I like. Even the sports range are becoming flimsy plastic, the Jawbones arms felt like thet'd break in no time compared to the likes of the Flak Jackets

A cheapo 21mm Tufo tub and an Arundel Dual saddle bag to keep it in for me today. I don't fancy ruining a Veloflex Roubaix by dumping a load of sealant into it when the inevitable happens.

I'm such a big spender;

79p on a complete new back brake cable from Wilko got my wife's bike back on the road for summer.

£3.49 on a pair of new cycling gloves from Aldi, after I gave my last pair to a mate with a broken leg as the crutches were killing his hands.

Got new shoes, going to give SPD-SL pedals a go but first I have to do the heat moulding without the MRS catching me 'cooking my shoes'

Was very interested in Bont Riots as they were/are going for £50 some places, but I was put off a bit by the stories of poor quality ratchets and finishing. I may have gone for them anyway but got a good deal on the Garneaus I ended up with.

Be keen to hear how you find them and how you get on with the moulding!

That's how I ended up with them £50 was hard to ignore and like you I was intrigued by the moulding.

Ratchet seems alright, although the release mechanism is a bit strange, as for the finish you can see glue around the join between the sole and upper so not the cleanest.

My plan is to not use them on every ride as I like being able to walk about so wear MTB shoes, but these are for TT's, the Tour of Cambridgeshire, Rad am Ring, that kind of thing.

With edenred online evans gift card purchase discount of 13% and price match against winstanleys £234.99, I got my Garmin 520 performance bundle yesterday for close to £205. Picked up from store. Which would be a great deal...

The package is missing the speed and cadence sensors, plus elastics. Judging by unboxing vids, everything else is present. The videos seen to show that the boxes aren't sealed as mine wasn't.

I'm not looking forward to raising this with their customer services because I know how it will look, pretty annoyed that I'm likely going to have to trek to the store again and I've been so looking forward to getting this thing after years of hankering and hand wringing over the cost.

xxxx update xxxx

Evans were super about it when I rang the store. I cycled up there and they swapped the package for a new one with no drama.

I agree. I was looking at some at new Oakleys at Sunglasses Hut in Gatwick last week. I really do think the quality has gone downhill. The finish looked poor too.

My Foakley Radar Paths should be arriving next week. I all ready have two pairs of genuine Oakleys, but one pair is 10 years old and starting to look pretty tattty. My wife has a pair that is a similar age and they have lasted quite well, but I think she treats hers better than mine.

I all ready two 3T fake carbon faibre drop bars and both have been on the bikes for over two years and have been fine. Based on that, I'm not that bothered about ordering fake Oakleys smile
