A pair of Zuus 50mm carbon clinchers .... currently on training bike. Look just the same as Farsports ... same spokes, Novatec hubs and rims but without the hassle of importing etc. Had originally ordered the 60mm versions but they were out of stock when I chased up as I paid for next day delivery. They sent me a pair of inner tubes as a gesture of good will after I accepted the 50mm versions which were in stock, so happy with the outcome.

Did you go for the ones that are currently £399?

Hard to quibble at that, see they've toned the decals down a bit too.

Yes, just what I thought. I don't think you can get them from Farsports for any less!. A couple of mates have them and said they're absolutely fine ... yep, just went for the standard £399 versions. Another mate has ordered the lighter weight 60mm so will have a look at his. I opted for plain, no decals as I prefer the look.smile

They look pretty good, how do they ride?

Not ridden them yet but suspect they'll feel exactly as the Farsports do ... and the Wheelmsiths. The Farsports needed truing and the Novatec freehub body is as soft as sh*t with large teeth marks from the cassette which ultimately doesn't enhance shifting! That said, they've done a good 12 months, probably 4k miles including 20 or so races so no complaints.

The one thing that bugs me about that particular Novatec hubset is the pair spoke hole flange, just space them equidistant!

At least they have a good spoke count at 20/24.

Be interested to hear your thoughts once you have them.

Interesting that they'll only warrant them when you use their pads. Perhaps other carbon pads are more aggressive a create more heat causing potential de-lamination.

That's pretty standard across carbon wheels.

thumbup Need some 500ml bottles, number 2 bike has cage mounts quite high so 700ml bottles catch on the top tube.

ETA - Just noticed that they're Elite bottles, so decent quality.

Those bottles were ordered yesterday after 4pm and arrived today before 8am. Five bottles delivered in less than 16 hours for under a fiver. Impressive!

Have they got any other old team stuff they're getting shut of?

My Belkin bibs are wearing now, so new (old style) commuter bibs would be handy...

Bits n bobs for the cx bike... Just trying to find an adaptor to so I can enlarge the 140mm rear discs to 160mm.

Edited to add, flip knows why the pic is on it's side.

After losing one of the end caps from my ODI grips I bought another pair to replace one.

Of course, on returning from my first ride after replacing the end cap I found the one that had fallen off rolleyes

Ah, but now you have a spare pair of end caps. N+1 bike builds have started from less... thumbup
