Trevor, as per my email those wheels look really good. May have to pop up to TheCycleClinic and check clearances in my frame.

def check the clearance first, saves you getting wheels which give your frame issues

Hands up everyone who accidentally bought a girl's helmet?
Oh, just me then.
Link?Oh, just me then.
In fairness to CRC, it says it's a female-specific helmet.
In fairness to ME, it says it way down below the fold in the bit which everyone ignores because it's marketing bks.
It only became apparent it was the girl's version when I tried to get it on my enormous bonce and it was more of a skull-cap.
Since there are no manly size L options available for a sensible price I've returned it and ordered a MET Parachute instead. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/met-parachute-h...

Did you line of thought go:
'Oooooooo.. almost Gulf racing colours! I'm 'aving one of those for ma' swede!'
Because mine did However I did then read the description and noticed 'Women Specific' pretty sharpish.
An "Air Lever" for the saddlebag, as I continue to try to drill down on weight. (I know I need a cartridge.)
It may become a birthday present for my brother.

I've been busy giving my commuter bike some much overdue attention! The rear mech was horribly worn and 2 out of 3 chainrings were shot. Bottom bracket was comically worn when stripped down.
Decided to go from a 3x9 to 1x11 groupset for simplicity and to lose some weight. I only used the middle and upper chainring anyway on my commute.
This is more or less what it started out like (note the horrid straight laced rims which are forever out of true):
Queue up a couple of orders from CRC, including some spangly new flat pedals not pictured and some new brake cables.
A few evenings in the shed and I've fitted that lot, re-cabled the whole thing and rebuilt the V-brakes and generally given it a spruce up Needs a headset change but I'll get that done in a couple of weeks. I had some spare wheels in the loft from my previous commuter bike that suffered a frame failure that were fairly new and built on Mavic rims and LX hubs. Unfortunately they're heavier than the straight laced old ones, but with some skinnier tyres they'll do till they're worn out. Had some new old stock LX brake levers to replace the combined units and they're pretty decent and almost retro now!
I went for a 34t chainring as that's the biggest available - think it'll do although may wish I could get a larger one!
Only issue I've had going 9 to 11 is that it won't shift onto the biggest cassette sprocket - think it's a chainline issue so in the process of stripping the cranks off to move one or two spacers to the non drive side to see if it then works OK. Chopped the handlebars down about 3" but I reckon there's more to come off when I can be bothered.
Quite enjoyed some shed time and the bike feels much nicer to ride! Good job the bike came to me free so doesn't owe me anything.....

some were/are used to climb mountains
Which is still a piece of piss with 32T 42TThe small chainring/lack of mech on the front should also reduce the risk of entanglement on the commute (I leave the bike at the train station so wear regular clobber and sometimes forget clips)
I have an almost identical frame setup for offroad use and that's still 3x9 but I wish I'd gone 2x10. If I hadn't replaced the chainset over a few weeks on that one, as issues appeared, I would've started from scratch.
I don't have masses of power in my legs so the granny ring sees action on most off road rides I do!
