Have any of the mountain bikers here tried the Ergon GE1 grips?
Not those ones specifically, but used these and like themhttps://www.evanscycles.com/fwe-ergonomic-grips-EV...
finally accepted I don't have the time or energy for long rides and the training i used to do. This year I'm going to start 10mile TT's. 30min training 3-4 times a week on zwift, one TT a month should be achievable and not impact too much on family/ work life.
So, I've treated myself to a Vision base bar, dura ace bar end shifters, Vision brake levers and a Garmin cadence/speed sensor.
If only my 10mile PB was less than 30 mins!

Have any of the mountain bikers here tried the Ergon GE1 grips? They look like they'd be either brilliant of uncomfortable, so keen to hear what people have to say.
I've got them on my Canyon Spectral as standard. The performance is good, not particularly remarkable or delightful. Good grip, good shape for me. My friend bought the same bike as mine and found them a little uncomfortable. He changed them for the larger diameter version of the same thing, which he likes.

Great for riding in the cold because you can actually feel the grip even when your hands are going numb.

I've had my Whyte G160RS for 5 months now (previously a Genesis Grapil, and a DMR Exalt, which i still have as it's too much fun/not worth much to anyone else!)
Out grew the grapil in terms of my riding ability (and possibly overly-brave riding style...)
Second hand from Swinley as an ex-demo bike. Cosmetically fine, mechanically perfect. Dropper serviced, brakes bled, new cassette/chain, shock was replaced (and actually upgraded as a result!) and it was a bargain!
Most of my riding is the Peaks (lived in Sheffield until recently) although got our fourth trip to BPW booked, and have entered a couple of Enduros (managed to get a spot on the 'Ard Rock after marshaling there last year).

Ladybower/Whinstone Lee Tor
En Rout eto Lords Seat:
Aside from the upgraded Monarch RC3+ shock, some Vault mag flats, a spoon saddle and a oneup components bash ring/chain guide i've not had to fettle anything yet. Slik Graphics did me some custom fork and shock stickers that match thought (based on YT Pike stickers, but Whyte colourways with their logo and slogan on). The old fork decals were knackered..
It just fits in the back of my Lupo. The bike is nearly as long, 5x more expensive and probably faster...

It isn't strictly bike gear, but I bought a rechargeable work light, as I've been neglecting cleaning my bike, due to not enough daylight:

They are sometimes sold by main brands (like Whyte) with their branded lock-on ring for more than double this price.
And there's a version with a bar-extender built-in too.
The torque wrench arrived this morning. Lovely little bit of kit on first inspection.
Nice weight to it and even the case seems well made. Pretty impressed.
The Enve post will be here this afternoon but I'm heading out soon so will have to wait til I get home or maybe tomorrow to see it.
Pics will, of course, follow

Hope you've got some carbon paste already? If not, I managed to blag a sachet from Evans as they have stacks of it left over from new bike builds (they just use a big tub of it so all the tiny sachets just get thrown in the corner!)Adrian E said:

Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated.
I may be able to help out if the future if anyone else needs!

I've got a set and they're great. Just enough shape to be a bit more comfortable, but without creating pressure points.I've replaced all of my lids for 2017 now (thanks for the heads up on the Carnac). 3 decent helmets for under a ton all in is well worth doing I reckon.
Went central yesterday to meet the wife and ended up popping into both Rapha stores...
Wasn't really after anything more than chamois cream but ended up coming away with that, plus:
Lightweight Bibs, in pink naturally. £77.50, bargain!
Plus more Rapha X Cinelli bar tape (for when those Enve bars arrive )
Plus I got home in time to collect the Enve post from a neighbour
The only thing I'm waiting for is the carbon grease... Oh, and my hot pink Giro laces arrived, finally, recently!
