New glasses and lid time. Already have a pair of Oakley EV pitch and love the look and comfort but fancied something for summer.

Regular helmet was looking a but battered (snigger) so gone for a Giro this time as I have a couple of Bontragers. I think almost everyone I ride with seems to have a Synthe so I went for the Cinder MIPS. Feels mega comfortable and light, two rides so far and the fit feels great.

A belt for wearing when off the bike, and a cointube for when on the bike. Both made from recycled innertubes.

Half price at £13 direct from Felvarrom

£8 via their ebay store

Yes, the second one is technically a purse!

Last week I ordered a set of thread taps for a BB,

Today they turned up and it appears, going back through the order, I ordered the Italian thread, not the BSA threads. Ok not an issue, so I looked up postage back to Germany and turns out, ordering the correct replacement cutters was the cheaper option!

This will teach me to rush a job again, first I cross thread my BB, find out how much it would be for 2 bikes to have their thread chased, so decide to by my own tool as its not much more, then fluff that up.

Not a very good day for me following a 1.5 hour commute to do 26 miles, not a happy bunny.

Used, but mint condition Fizik R5 saddle of eBay for my summer road bike. Yet to be convinced if it will be staying on as the 'sit' is somewhat harder than I'm used to. Still, it looks nice smile

Can I suggest something?

Take the lettering off the wheels?

And a spirit level for the saddle.

I was going to say point that rear QR straight back! One assumes saddle should be flat as per most traditional fits (could be the camera angle). Levers look a little pointed up to me.

Have decided that I can't afford to replace the Yeti with another one, so have just ordered replacement forks - Fox Float 34s, 150mm - and will be ordering fresh pivot bolts too. Frame still seems fine, so going for a light recommissioning of the ol' gal. Will probably spend half the cost of a new bike in the end, but man maths works for all toys...

Maybe its my middle age minimalist phase, but it will take the focus off the wheel and back onto the beautiful frame! Maybe dark lettering?

All in my honest opinion of course! smile

Because he said he is finding uncomfortable and it's clearly not level with a nose down stance.

Arione's should be levelled from the nose to the start of the slight kick at the back of the saddle and then tweak from there.

That is massively nose down.

I killed an Ultegra rim yesterday, replacement would be £90 plus time/cost to rebuild using existing hub & spokes.

Superstar Components have got 25% off this weekend, so a new set of wheels is only £120. #manmaths

Right now planet-x 365 bibs are £25 down from £55.
http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CLPXP3BS/planet-x-pro...

I have the wind-stopper tights and have been very happy with them so going to order some of the shorts now too.

I have a bit of a shopping list today, not sure if I will get everything from one place, it's likely I'll have to shop around a bit to get everything at a price I'm ok with.
- shorts as above
- H Plus Son archetype rim for the rear of the best bike so it will match
- Cone spanner set and ball bearings, I'm going to try and service my hubs, commuter rear has some play, but if I get on ok with it I might do a few more of the household's bikes.
- an out front garmin mount to stop me looking down so far on the commuter, might try a £5 one from planet-x
- pair of v-brake noodle and gaiters, going to re-cable the £50 gumtree commuter soon to celebrate 1000 miles on it. some of the cables it came with are looking a little iffy now

This picture makes me feel very neglectful... a contrast against the shiny pics this thread normally sees.
