They do look like you might need to be a bit ( ahem) "Special" to wear them! wink

Do they have SPD in them?
No SPD's - they're flats.

Yeah, I look stupid enough without the aid of 'in ya face laces' - defo putting the black ones on!

I bought this frameset last night for a few pounds, I was expecting it to be in poor condition given the price the vendor was advertising it for so was pleasantly surprised when I saw it in the flesh. My initial plan was to strip my Fort track bike and built the Omnium with the parts, but I think I might have to buy some new parts and build something nice as the frame is lovely. So for now I have borrowed the chainset and wheels from the Fort to see how I get on with the Giant. I bought some bar tape and the rest of the bits came from my parts box

Both track bikes together

My initial tootle round the garden shows the Giant to feel more road orientated compared to the Ridley, so I'll need to try it at the velodrome before deciding its future

Picked this up today. My first (as an adult) bike. Hoping to replace my long Sunday runs with long rides instead. I may retain a functioning ankle then!

Some new tyres. Same as last ones, but in yellow rather than black, as they were cheaper! Would've preferred black, and fancied trying 25mm, but for £38.99 for the pair from Merlin, couldn't resist!

The last set of Fortezza Tricomps lasted about 3-3.5k. Actually, the front one is still good, but the rear is flattened off badly.

Remembered that I hadn't got a spare tube as my new wheels have presta vavle so picked one up before last nights ride.

New Teva shoes were a revelation compared to riding in trainers - the cast grips on my current pedals aren't that good so this morning I've ordered some of these from Carbon Cycles:

Oh, and as one of the lads had a puncture last night and we got back to the car park when it was dark I think I'll order one of THESE too:

Is that the same kit we were all ordering from China a couple of years ago?

Yep.

I've got a couple of the solarstorm x2 lights that are imho superior and a bargain at 30 quid. But for 7!? that's a no brainer

Looks like it.
Mine was £30 a couple of years ago.
Still going strong.
And by strong I mean it lights up trails like day time.
Incredibly good value.

Ordered some 700x28c Gatorskins. For some reason I neglected to first, select the folding ones and secondly, not get them delivered to work.

There’s a no personal post policy here that is usually ignored but receiving a wiggle box that is too tall to fit under the desk is just the sort of thing prompt a shirty reminder email from facilities.

Yes, identical. I've ordered a few for Christmas presents.

Worth looking at picking it up from a Collect Plus store near your home then.

I've ordered one... but would you recommend more than one for those of us not cycling on the Salisbury Plain??

Absolutely.

It's not usually an issue, small parcels just end up in the pigeon hole. I just had forgotten that two tyres that aren't folded involve a stupidly large box.

One for your head and one (or more) for your bars.
