Wheels arrived from Merlin.

Total so far inc s/h frameset £231.49

Aiming for <£450 and around 10kg on this SS 29er.

I'm going to weigh mine tomorrow now, it's an In-bred frame, carbon forked single speed. Wheels are Hope with Pacenti rims.

Just ordered a set of 160mm Formula 35 27.5 forks for my new build. Another item that I wont get till December though apparently, along with the new frame.

Also ordered a 11-32 ultegra cassette for my roadbike as a test for a very hilly 100k ride I have coming up as opposed to swapping down to a compact chain set from the 39/53 it has.

Got to be worth trying as its $85 as opposed to $200 which the new chainrings would be!

Bought these:

Fitted them last night, so the bike is now 'finished'. Warmish, trafficless half term morning, bit of a tail wind, looking forward to a hatful of PRs on the ride in to work. Then 1.4 miles in...I now need these

And because it is the 5th time this month

This is getting added to the armoury.

Finally got round to ordering some lights.

Exposure Trace/R Set

£69.98 delivered from Tredz with £5 off email signup coupon. Bargain.
Let me know what you thing of these, as I am seriously considering them.
Will do. Bit miffed as Tredz were the only place with stock. Except they didn't actually have any...

Been told 17th November now.

Having neglected any real maintenance on one of the hardtail for long and weery it was high time to sort it out, so today Ive ordered the following:

Shimano RD5700 jockey wheels:

KMC X9 93 chain:

and a Shimano HG61 9speed 11-34t cassette

came to a grand total of £44.96 including priority delivery.

Also had to order some new wheels from the LBS after wrecking the rear rim on my full suspension.

Would have gotten away with just a rear rim, but the rear runs a Hope hub and the front doesnt along with the fact Id be running 2 different rims OCD kicked in, (tbh I was tempted to replace the front hub anyway so this was a nicely timed excuse). 2 new Stanz rims ordered along with a hope front hub. Both to be built up using good quality spokes & nipples etc. downside is it;ll take about a fortnight all in.

For every N+1, I have to buy the Mrs N+1 to match (bike must also be of equal quality/weight/value or she winges).

Cycle Ops fluid 2 turbo trainer from advise on here - just hope it's better enough than my old magnetic trainer to not feel like its £230 I didn't need to spend.

Lovely looking bike. But a couple of schoolboy errors- you've only bought one set of pedals, but enough for both bikes for everything else. Oh, and you've bought 26" tubes, not 700C!

Wife already has a spare set of pedals to use on hers, tubes are for our MTB's as I am sick of having loads of semi leaky tubes knocking around the garage. Picked up some roadbike tubes today.
