A £45 aero helmet from Evans.
A £42.50 skin suit from eBay.
New chain rings, cassette and chain from Wiggle.

Just need to order the TT bars from Planet X to complete my TT setup on a budget, before I book in for a "quick fit" if I can find such a thing to get myself in the right (ish) position. A friend is lending me some wheels.

I may just chuck a turbo tyre on at the end of September, and hit the garage hard over the winter with it in TT mode.

The new build is a constant stream of annoying bits.....

Had some fun with the seatpost due to the gel coat being a bit uneven.

The levers didn't come with lines or fluid...that was great. Then I needed the brake bleed kit, front mech adaptor and a battery bung, which again is st from Shimano considering they could have just given a £4.99 piece of crap away with the kit. Lastly the rotors which are £40+ each...

Anyway everything is working now, crank in waiting for the wheels, which are delayed, hoping for delivery in a couple of weeks.

I replaced at the weekend the Hope(less) bottom bracket with an XT on my On One C456 and have had to ride in silence rather than continual cracking and creaking noises, so ordered a Dura Ace one to replace the Hope(less) one on the road bike which makes similar noises and for a carbon Di2 bike costing many pounds , sounds like a ten quid jobbie out the back of the paper. Glad to be rid of 3 Hope(less) BB's so far this year as not as good as people seem to think. Also some enduro mud guards for the Jekyll, ready for the North Wales trip at the end of the month and some chain oil, which I cant remember its name, but recommended, so thought I would give it a try.

They're the Pro4 grip's, slightly heaver than the SC's but with better puncture protection, slightly different compound and a 'tread' on the shoulders - I will let you know how they ride once the crappy weather arrives!

A new....

...bottle cage.

Not that amazing except that it's on my Brompton, so took a bit of research to find one that fits. Ended up with a Monkii clip and cage.

Bought a set of Clarks brake pads for my Scott road bike.

Wasn't really expecting much of a difference TBH but wow! Stopping power greatly improved, I ca stop pretty quickly when riding on the hoods now.

No idea if they will be better in the wet but reviews sound positive.

Some Oakley Prizm Road Jawbreakers as a present for my best man, who broke his jam mountain biking on my stag do. He had mentioned wanting some Oakleys for road cycling, so it had to be done.

I've been running these for a fair while now and thought I had a slow puncture but that was actually a VERY slow pinch flat by the valve. I'm going to swap for durano tyres for the winter.
