Looking to buy a decent full suss for xc and occasional trail centre use. The Canyon Nerve XC range are getting great reviews now. Does anyone own one? MBR just rated the entry model (5.0) as 9/10, but the higher models get even better brakes, forks and tapered streerer etc. Decisions decisions...

Yep been looking at these for the past 2/3 weeks. Think I've now decided on an XC8 in RED. Tried a couple of Trek's recently, although I love the frame/gtaphics on the Treks. I just can't ignore the value for money of the Canyon bikes.

Just something at the back of my mind is telling me I'd like to see one in the flesh first, just to sit on you know..?

+1

Test rode Specialized Camber and Stumpjumpers yesterday and they were good but did come home thinking about the spec of Canyons for the same money. Quite tempting just to go for one in spite of not being able to try it out. The reviews all seem to concur.

I've been looking at Turner/Yeti etc. frames and these Canyons are causing me problems, as they are making me wonder if I'd really be spending the money wisely. For roughly the price of a very nice frame on it's own, I could, if I went with the Canyon, buy a complete bike and end up with a FS frame (which is what I'm after) but as a bonus, use the components that came on it to build up a cheap (On-One) hardtail frame.

Took the plunge and finally ordered my XC8 today. Delivery should be about 2 weeks. Will let you guys know how I get on with it and the whole process in general.

Received an email today, saying my bike is in the hands of the couriers ready to be shipped to the UK.

If I'm really lucky it may arrive for the next bank holiday. Although realistically 2 working days to get from Germany to me (in the hands of UPS) is admittedly pushing it..!
