Dublin/London bike schemes

Has anyone tried either of these schemes ? I tried the Dublin scheme over the weekend and I was suitably impressed. For 3 days it costs 2 euros or 10 euros for the full year, with all journeys under 30 mins being free.
The bikes look awfully cumbersome but are surprisingly easy to ride.
I would recommend the scheme around Dublin (though it is slightly more cycle friendly than London!)
