I bought a hybrid with juicy 3's which I use daily for work, and in nearly a year of riding I have had no problem with them at all.
Me too, zero complaints. Muc-Off do a cleaner for the brakes that will get rid of the squeak in seconds.

pretty sure my Orange G3 has juicy 3's on them and have no complaints at all. bike's in for a service right now. fluid has never been changed and the bike is bang on 2 years old (hence it's going in for it's 2nd annual service!) and they are fine. i don't do crazy downhill but they have been hammered around mountain biking trails at the likes of coed y brenin, afan argoed/glyncorrwg, laggan (scotland) and a few other places which certainly aren't light on brakes. every time, they've performed faultlessly. not the most powerful brakes i've used but more than enough for most people and i've not got them to fade before.

i'd take the bloody bike back, £900 is not cheap and i'd expect better. with the uprated forks, pedals and some other bits and bobs i'm running that's about the same price as my Orange bike and it's performed faultlessly over much, much harder terrain than hyde park i can assure you. i'd be furious, however, i certainly wouldn't be putting lube on brake surfaces....that's fking lethal!!!

i'm currently saving for a Bianchi infinito 105 C2C....£2200 though frown any donations welcome hehe

And what do you expect evans to do when they're confronted with a guy asking to return a bike which he's caused the problem on by putting lube on the brakes?

900 really doesn't buy you that much bike nowadays!

Re the brakes you'll probably need to change the pads and clean the rotors

I looked at this product in a local motor factors last week and thought it was fcensoreding expensive. Does it do the job? Is it worth the price? If you can affirm that it is good value for the money, I'll see if I can get my short arms down to the bottom of my deep pockets and buy some as I've got a persistent squeal from my front disc which is temporarily cured by a dab of brakes, but reappears with irritating regularity. It drives me (and anyone I ride with) nuts

Muck off can be found in poundland.

Didn't know it was so expensive elsewhere! I'd go back and get a few bottle!!

it's crap compared to some better car cleaning stuff out there. for the chainset and cassette i use Bilt Hamber Surfex HD. 5 litres for about £20 including postage and is water based so can be diluted down. brings a mucky chain to practically silver even when diluted to about 15%. spray on, leave a couple of minutes, agitate with a firm bristle brush, rinse off with water. wipe dry (or wait to dry) and reapply lube. plus, surfex HD can be used on st loads of stuff , i wouldn't be without it.

top, top product that.

for body work i just use my old car shampoo which i don't use - autoglym

I've got that disk cleaner - it does work quite well but best not to need it in the first place.

Petrol is a great chain cleaner/degreaser - just soak it in some for an hour or so for a spangly chain.
