It would be less embarrassing for the poor boy if he had to run along side them (naked) whilst they rode their own bikes, simply proffering the explanation that his family could afford neither clothes or a bike.

If women were bikes, his new bike is about as cool looking and desirable as the model below.

You know what? I think I'd rather ride that, than that god awful bike? biggrin

I wonder if this bike faux pas from Mrs911m could finally present an opportunity to declare yourselves even for the [cough]kettle incident[/cough]?

Can you take the fake motogp seat off and put a proper one on? Then it may be a fair usable kids fully?

Else take it out back and burn it. Buy the boy a proper bike.

TBH if its that cheap it'll be unlikely to be safe to use anyhow.

When I was 12 you would have got special favours for having a bike like that. How cool. Especially once you add a piece of plastic that rubs on the tyre and makes a motorbike noise. Full suspension, disc brakes, comfy seat, knight rider look. He'll be beating the girls off with a stty stick.

You do live in Mumbai don't you?

Whatever happens, print off the entire thread and give it to your son when he hits middle age. He probably suspects you learned to ride on a real live dinosaur anyway, and the cred you'll gain by publicly acknowledging your wife's failures will spare you from a spacko futuristic wheel chair deal/entanglement come your geriatric years.
