I am a bit late to the party,
but watched Andy´s progress over the years -sometimes live- and at the Main Event via eurodragster.com ,
congratulations to the driver, the team and the sponsors.
Too bad that lack of fundings are not making a trip to Hockenheim possible,
but there´s always hope for next year when RV3´s potential will be more unleashed.

Thank you Benni, and thank you everyone for your support!
Yea,it would be nice to show the car around the world, but it's impossible to do that for the foreseeable future due to the financial constraints i have currently.
Ah well,mustn't grumble..

Must be the cost of running that huge 18-wheeler that the Americans tell me you turn up to the track with :-)

I thought that too, the back of Andy's truck used to transport the car is barley 1 inch longer than the car.

Perhaps if you include the wheels on RV3, the truck, his caravan, the tow car.......? rolleyes

Edit to add, forgot to add the wheelie bar wheel. hehe

LOL... Yes,6 wheels on the truck,4 on the car,2 on the caravan, 1 on the wheelie bar adds to 13. Add the 4 wheels on the spare jack i have makes 17.. Not quite an 18 wheeler..LMFAO.
They have some strange notions over there.

What's important and is you've brought the world record back to England mate, where I'm confident it will stay for a fair amount of time to come. Also what's really amazing is that you've done it with RV3 having only had it running since Sept '11 and had very minimal time on the black stuff.

If they think you have an 18 wheeler, I couldn't give a Rubber Duck!
(see what I did there?)

  • edit* You forgot the Caravan Jockey wheel.....18, we got there in the end. hehe
hehe

Always thought you were one wheel short of something Andy.

Love the thread and all the bickering, reminds me why I left the sport I used to love so much. frown

Belated congratulations to you and all of the team...now about Red Victor 4 and a FC number! wink

No one has 18 wheelers now with general use of super single wheels on trailers though, in theory, a 6x4 unit on doubles and a triaxle trailer on doubles could be a 20 wheeler, but i dont think any teams use a trailer on anything other than super singles, likewise the units, the 18 wheeler is more a US convention, and more importantly Andy, if you had one, have you a licence to drive it, and where would you you park it at your workshops?.........lol
