What will more videos acheive? Nothing. People will still pick fault as they have nothing better to do. Andy has been there, done it and got the proof. Wasting time he could be using to better things to please some internet keyboard warriors, he could actually go and do something rather than cry on the web about somebody doing something....

Secondly, before the Corsa mob start crying about Andys car, they need to get there own paperwork in check. Staggering how many cars are registered as 1.0l when fitted with red tops etc...

It was with DOT tyres Paul, albeit the slicks with 3 grooves around them.

I've seen some funny stuff on the net in the last 2 days. Corsasport is the funniest.
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?t...
Apparently it can't be a record because i didn't race it in a street legal state!
You have 2 guys on there who are tyring to explain to the rest how it works, but they're having none of it. None of the people argueing against it have even considered we're racing in a class with rules that say "slick tyres, methanol and wheelie bars required"...
It's funny as f**k....
PS,if anyone from there sees this exhaust system doesn't come off for racing.
Just wheels/tyres changed and wheelie bar is added.

Anyway, thank you everyone (apart from you know who) for the fantastic support you continue to give us. We'll be at PVS this weekend giving Jonny Smith the ride of his life, if it ever stops raining of course...
that thread is funny theres a few here who would fit in there quiet nicely
My personal favourite-

Yeah, people who disagree with an actual record, recognised by the governing body of the whole of fking motorsport. Obviously I'm the pleb.
Can't believe there's another page of numpties arguing after that comment!

My personal favourite from over there..

"Is the bandwagon road legal?"

We knew it would come, but sometimes people really take the village idiot role to a whole new level..

Fantastic and congrats to them, always knew they would do it. One question though, why is it LHD?
Weight distribution and countering torque windup..
Thanks Slinky, thought it was for tech reasons, just wondered what they were. thumbup

Larry Larsen doesn't and he is your idol.

Double standards eh?
who the heck is larry larsen? So youve watched street racing from both sides of the pond I guess and seen the diversity?

OK, Larry Larson, one spelling mistake does not make you better than me. The fact I have found the caps lock key means I am one up on you.

To answer your question, yes and also in Australia and New Zealand but that won't count for you as they race upside down over there so there is no way it could be legal record...

Please let me know, what makes you such authority on the subject? Knocking one out over David Wolfe's drag radial car does not make you the be all and end all of street racing worldwide.

Larry Larson went on a cruise and fair play to him it was a great achievement, he covered some miles but did he or did he not run slicks and a wheelie bar when he ran 6.95? You don't need to answer that as we all know the answer....

I don't know what your problem is, I don't know if you don't get enough attention in the real world so you head online for some or if you are just deluded.

End of the day if you have nothing to say of Frostys performance then just ignore the thread, its not difficult as I managed to ignore all your inane videos you used to post here....

Crickey Andy, why do you bother reading things like "corsasport"? What does Vauxhall think of your efforts?

Insane. yeh right. I dont see the stang in the US running mid 6s being fake and driving down the freeways. But classes like street elim are probably the limit. Thats why pro street died a death because they were known as trailer queens.

A friend told me when he was spamming various forums with them. Thanks for your enquiry though.

What's insane?

Where did I mention the Stang being fake?

Pro Street (NMCA) died out due to politics, the originals from there all evolved and moved on to Pro Mod or new race series. It's progression, not dying.

The Enthuiast has not been on this forum for a while. I can only assume that his view that US racing is better than European racing has been challenged. So he feels he has to criticise to try to save face.

Keep up the good work Andy and team!

The Enthusiast ?? What is he enthusiastic about exactly, aside from butt f***ing himself for all to see on the internet ?? I like reading his drivel, he makes me laugh out loud he's that much of a twonk. He knows as much about drag racing as I know about turning lead into gold.. cock all !biggrin
My name is Barry Bohannon and I'm a track announcer at Shakespeare County Raceway, I have the bottle to tell all who I am and what my involvement is in this sport, how about you man up, grow a pair of cahunas and a brain and do the same eh ? Feel free to come up into race control and introduce yourself by the way and have your photo took anytime mate.

I am almost tempted to look at the Corsa forum, but I don't think that it is civilised behaviour to stare at people and mock them just because they are intellectually subnormal. I find the notion of them questioning the viability of a car for road use rather bemusing too, as not long ago I saw a modified Corsa with its front splitter smashed to buggery on account of it being too low to clear a speed hump.

Surely it would be fun to take RV3 to one of their 'cruises' and use its engine to drown out the dreadful noise coming out of their ridiculous stereos??? Indeed, it is perhaps really because RV3 lacks a nasty coloured interior and a ludicrous music system that they are questioning its legitimacy? Or perhaps its lack of neon lighting? Stupidly low profile tyres on cheap aftermarket rims? Fibreglass bodywork appendages that serve no purpose but to add drag and ruin aesthetics? rolleyes

Nice vid. I clicked on the "book a test-drive" tab underneath but turns outs that's not related! wink

Awesome effort by Andy and his team to get the record and I suspect there's still more to come..
