There would be no need to argue, I would be interested as to why he thought it was better. Particularly as Alastaro is the most challenging track for most classes on the tour.

The air must be really good in Finland for the pro stockers too, what with all the trees surrounding the top end of the track.

The records for all classes will eventually be set on the Tierp track.
I disagree

TMD record 5.29 by Dave at Tierp
Main Event, Manty matched that 5.29 in a blown car

PS record 6.64 by Jimmy at the Pod
Main Event, Thomas Lindstrom 6.65

PS speed record 207 by Thomas at the Main Event

Couple examples off the top of my head.

on a 'crap dangerous' all asphault track and the first FIA event of the year, cold and wet weekend compared to the brand new Tierp super concrete track with perfect weather smile

Lets not write the Pod's obituary just yet hey?

Jimmy was quiet specific in his words regarding the racing surface saying that alastaro is smoother ie has less bumps than Tierp arena

My comment is not a criticism of the Pod, it is still a very good track. I am just making my prediction on the fact that Tierp has a brand new racing surface and that the records have already fallen there after only one years use.

Taking into account SPR has 2 events a year:

Historically a significant majority of FIA records have been set at SPR, this will undoubtedly lessen with the introduction of another very good track. I think we'll see a more even spread between SPR and Tierp with records occasionally being set at other tracks as they are now.

In UEM it's a pretty even spread, I think this will remain the case with Tierp picking up it's share.

I also think more vehicles are capable of setting records now compared to a few years ago too, although who runs where is stil a factor.

To reply to Nitro Head, yes, you never know what Chaos is going to do, it seems to have a mind of its own. With an expensive and superb new paint job, we are aiming to keep it the right way up and out of the wall.... but there are no guarantees LOL. And who would think that a five may be on the cards, you're all bonkers, heh, heh, heh......

Weather is what it is and it will do what it will do, what's more disappointing is this event again clashes with another one.
