I may not have much to contribute to this forum, however, I'd like to thank the following after my visit on Friday with my 9 year son:
Pink Lady Racing - especially the chap I spoke to about fire bottles and for him to then get a picture card for my lad and then Jayne to sign it too. No trouble, ever so obliging.
Mark Perkins - for being patient with me when talking about Jon Websters Comet, and I'm sorry my lad got bored of me listening and talking hence moving on like we did…
Apologies to Brian Payne's team for mixing them up with Richard Billings... duh!
Jari Halinen - well, more like to the two british guys on the team who dug out a picture card and then got Jari to sign it, they also gave me a spark plug and bearing thingy… Again, never too much trouble.
For card signing: Fast Freddie, Marcus Hilt, Thomas Lindström.
Pity we missed a load of other racers, either very busy after their runs or out in the queue for the pairing lanes and didn't get to see any of the brit Pro Mods cars except on the track. Also, the very swift turn around of classes meant we missed some action while still in the pits.
Had a most excellent day though.

the early incrementals were st as we are having start line boost issues also the new tranny and launch sequence has caused a few aborted runs... but in perspective first time out with a totaly different set up we ran over 193 mph (311 kph) at the 1/8, the crank snapped into three bits at a hair over 1000 ft and we coasted to a slowing 6.3 at 212 mph (225 mph at 1000 ft) with the chutes out before the stripe
yes were done for the year the block and will repair, we will look for a good welder for the crank

I agree with your lad Mark Perkins bores me as well, seriously thats the great thing about the sport you can wander the pits and almost all teams are more than happy to talk to you about the sport and thier car or bike obviously between rounds they can be very busy but catch them at the right time and you can learn a lot about drag racing.Pink Lady Racing - especially the chap I spoke to about fire bottles and for him to then get a picture card for my lad and then Jayne to sign it too. This was our first drag experience. Beginners' luck in spades! Absolutely fantastic weather for it (Sat) and the action on the strip totally blew me away. Incredible noise, smell, power, kinetics; anti health and safety tedium, anti green hand-wringing. We'll be back.
We were behind some plexiglass with sun shining on it that did it's best to frustrate my photography attempts but here goes anyway...

Enough tyre distortion?!

how bad is frostys?
Bad enough to put us out till next year, unfortunately for us.The block is my old one,and is too tired to continue on the front line.
Head requires welding and seats, valves and rockers. Too much to do in a week and a half.
I'm happy with our progress this year, and we lived up to our own expectations.
Can't ask for more as a team than that.
Great work by all my crew all year long, and great support from our sponsors, friends and supporters.
