Garlits Drag Racing Museum ............ great place, I visited in December 2010. Could have spent my whole holiday in there. Seeing the actual cars I used to see pictures of in Hot Rod magazine back in the early 70's. The stuff in there is mind-blowing.
Plus, there's a second building packed with rare cars .... where do I start to tell you what's in there ?
Best of all, I met the Main Man himself. What an absolute diamond geezer. I was lost for words, and that doesn't often happen !!!!
He took us round his private workshops where you'd not normally have access. Showed us his Rat-Rod which was under construction & the 2010 Hemi Challenger that Dodge had given him to bracket race, amongst lots of other rarities.
Spent over 2 hours with him, drinking coffee, nagging, putting the world-to-rights and talking racing. He was very interested in the fine detail of my race car and now actually has a pic of it on the wall of his office no-less !!!

Yep Chris is a top bloke...well he is for a soft southern shandy drinking p*fter anyway.

Check out that hair - the Brian May of drag racing! The car is simply stunning. Great weekend at the finals too.
so who has the biggest hair-day at SPR, it always used to be Al O'connor...

'The Greek God'! Does that mean the next time I get gear oil puked over me I'll have to wash your feet first? Or would you prefer a sacrificial lamb or virgin??
Much prefer to don 'The Suit' and help get the Cuda back to it's former glory.

One of the daft Geordies here Chris - you at the finals next week?

Wondering if you you'll spare us a Stella or two!

Apologies for late reply !!!!!!!!!!!
No won't be at the finals - it's mid November now, so I've well & truly missed them.
Damaged the engine at 2012 Finals - haven't rebuilt it yet !!
You're welcome to a Stella when I see you next ! Howway the toon !

Late! Ha

You lost your Greek god status?

Sorry to hear about your engine - when do you think it will be back together and back in action? Next season?

Shame you weren't at the finals this year - hopefully 2014. Not the same without the viper and your hair!

Is it even repairable or are you thinking of a change of engine and configuration.

Room for a turbo or two ?
