I cannot see the connection between my post and your largely irrelevant ?
Fact is that the turbos have a hp advantage. About 500hp. (Fia rules )The fact that only one turbo car seems to have it going does not change the facts. Or do you want to say that if someone cannot find a good setup for his car, he may have a rule that is easier on him ?
Nobody's denying they make more grunt. You're implying that it's not fair to compare the turbo cars to the nitrous and blower ones because of a horsepower advantage. The results say otherwise. Blower cars generally speaking have a horsepower advantage over the nitrous cars too, certainly in Europe, yet can be competitive and go rounds. So how is it unfair for a turbo engine to compete but not a supercharged one?? Fact is that the turbos have a hp advantage. About 500hp. i think what hes saying is only Martin has the turbo deal going fast so talking about his 500 hp advantage (which by the way i dispute look at MG's speed) and only Roger has the n20 car going fast so your being down on turbo cars due to their power is not a valid point
going bact to the power thing Speed alone is the real indicator of horse power MG goes 248/249 and runs in the mid 5.8s martins best is 253 once that dont look like 500 hp to me also just because you dont like them it dont mean its wrong.... they are massively more difficult than it looks on paper and no one is looking for a rule to make it easier but if the rules were set to allow them in the class recognizing their failings....mostly in the first 330 ft then blame the nhra and when a turbo cars Exceeds mid 5.8s on every track every run then ill accept there is a case to look at the rules, right now there is not
you carry on hating them I hate top fuel but i wouldnt try to justify my pet hate on here

Just to be clear, i do not hate turbo cars ! They are not my favorite.
I do not say turbo is easier to tune.
I say they have a advantage in hp, so they can ran outran a other car.
I agree with you that right now in europe it is not a problem.
We have 3 diff. Cars in promod thats why they are so populair !
And it will keep the discussion going, wich is good.

As I see it, the balance between the three Pro Mod variants in Europe is probably about right. In a few years, when a few more cars have got a handle on them and a reliable tune, I suspect there will need to be some restrictions added to the turbo cars (or removed from the others) in order to maintain parity. But as it stands, you can't look at an FIA entry list and tell who's going to win just because they've got a turbo and the other guns are running blowers/N2O. Everyone knows the turbo cars make more power. But that's offset by being (I'm told) harder to tune and get down the track reliably. If the turbo cars start dominating the class, then it'll be time to look at the rules. For now, though, it doesn't seem to be an issue.
I'm going to have to stop agreeing with Graham. People will start talking! ;-)

Great to see Roland in the list, he is no newbie to nitrous cars,
his 470 cui Mustang was a "mini-PM" with 2 or 3 stages of n2O and a 3-speed Lenco,
he was doing high 7s and winning Competition Eliminator at Santa Pod.
This new car is of course a totally new challenge and I hope that Roland & team master it.

I spoke to somebody on fleabay who removed one of my old bottles from an mr2 with a V6 conversion which consisted of a long bit of braided hose poked into the air intake like the video, I'm honestly surprised that dross wizard has got away with removing/modifying the safety burst disc on his bottles and replacing the valves with aluminium ones for so long, I spoke to somebody who told me that the reason valves aren't made of ally is a test where the cylinder has to be dropped from a certain height and the valve must remain intact , I guess nobody has reported him yet . Nitrous is an excellent power adder provided a few basic rules are followed and you choose a manufacturer of repute over a huge egotistical overpriced one who has no regard for safety !!! I suppose this thread will no doubt attract one of his alter egos now jumping to defend him and I will be threatened with legal action instigated by one of his friends down the pub again
