John's diesel truck

First time out for John Sleath's diesel truck at York on Monday. Pulled easy nines on a very slippery surface. Beautifully put together too, bit of a minimalist work of automotive art.

I saw it in his workshop when I went down there for a dyno tune up, it is a rather nice looking machine (even with the body panels off as it was when I saw it).

What sort of numbers was he running?

Seen pics of an '80's matt black Bentley at the hot rod drags yesterday, looked like it had a cummins diesel in it with the exhaust stack up out of the bonnet.

I think he ran 8.69 at York yesterday

His new PB in the truck was 8.72, which is not bad considering he'd completely lost fourth.
