Big Yankee V8s putting in sub 9second passes really are something to see & hear!!
If that's how you feel, you really need to come up for the European Finals, where those runs will be towards the entry level of what's going to be going down the track.
I appreciate that the nitro fueled funnies will be doing around 6seconds which is on par with the Jet powered & top fuel cars. Ludicrously fastbow

Or imagine Yankee V8's running 5's @ 250mph...

Its a shame for the newbies that for the past few years many of the pro teams have had their cars/pit areas 'shielded' by their trucks, so it can be hard to get a good look at the crews at work and the cars up close.

This weekend has so far been a great example of how well the track crews and sportsman teams can work. 6 Qualifiers for Super Pro so far, and Pro ET have ran through in 12 minutes this morning, and super pro in 35 minutes. Really really awesome stuff, and the racing is soo close - bump in Super Pro is just 0.09 off. Less than a tenth.

Night racing, Pro-mod 5s everywhere, incredible new records being set especially the TMD ET record(s), off the cuff bonuses like the fly-by and Darryls anatomy of a fuel coupe lesson, 192 mph Bentley, Gareth Ellis TMFC win, Andy Robinson and Bruno Baders well earned 5s, 316mph in 3+ seconds, airborne funny cars, just incredible times and speeds throughout and all that amongst some of the old faithfuls under-achieving (with all due respect)...there's more that still hasn't sunk in yet and to think I didn't have massive expectations after seeing the comparatively small field sizes in the pro classes.
This was certainly an event of quality over quantity and the best European final in years for racing, quality and atmosphere.

If anyone has to explain now, you'll never know!
