difference being there weren't 8 tmd's around then and the economy was far worse in 2012. With the pro entry extended we'll see whether the numbers increase or whether it'll be another veto'd event from the majority of the teams
Yup time will tell, just have to thank and support the teams that turn up

If anyone would like to support my efforts to turn up and entertain, I'll gladly provide bank details ;-)

Haha if I had the spare cash after trying to get my own car on track I would Tet! Otherwise il be on the bank, beer in side providing moral support enjoying the show that the racers who turn up will create

Yeh it does, a lot safer too being away from the edge of the wall....plus it looks like it's in the right place now!

There is still plenty of time for more entries,

Most classes are not far off last years numbers, with the entry extended, hopefully it will be somewhere near last years

2014 2015
TF 9 7
FC 3 3
Pro Mod 21 14
TMD 7 4
TMFC 5 3
PS 5 2

Just need a few more Pro Mods

I spoke to Johan when we were in Vegas last year about racing in Europe for 2015, he said he was hoping to.

Obviously Gareth wont be racing, so unless Johan does enter I guess that will be it for TMFC

Yes. The current plan is for Urs to only run at those three meetings.

Well at this stage it has to be said there is definitely a lot less entries in most classes than we have seen at the Main Event for a very long time. Where the numbers are not down on recent years then there is no improvement.
Only two full pro class fields (without going back to check).
No class numbers seem to be up on recent years.

Are some background politics at work, the financial slump still having a hold or are there simply fewer racers around with the cash or interest?
Wasn't the 1000 fa*t farce ruling meant to make the sport more sustainable?
Not a good trend and it doesn't seem to be improving.

The number of racers taking part has always ebbed and flowed. It costs a lot of money and take a lot of time to compete. Some racers just take time out to repair, collect, rebuild even have a holiday or strangely do things at home that have needed doing for years! Not everyone has a trailer full of engines, blowers or transmissions. So don't read into something that isn't there.

Very true, there's just a lot of outside factors influencing this one... still I remember the days of just two or three top fuel cars and very haphazard runs & poor track so to me the way it is now is amazing! Can't wait! Also... 20 pro mods, seriously that cannot be bad

I think we also have to remember now tierp is around the scandiweegen racers have a great facility on their doorstep...it's a lot of time effort and money to come to the pod when you have a facility like that on your doorstep....let's face it how many of the Brits reciprocate and race over there?

No it isn't bad at all! Not complaining just wondering.
There either is something detrimental going on or there isn't, only asking after noticing a steady decline over the last 5 years-ish.
Obviously not everyone can compete every season, I appreciate that. Some are focusing on the US more, some are having a little break or rebuilding/saving, having a life etc. but I thought that was always the case in the pool of potential competitors.
2 or 3 TF cars was surely pre FIA involvement and a serious amount of successful work has gone on to build the sport up since then.
