Will be tomorrow.

Slightly annoyed that M Sport couldn't find a car for Elfyn Evans on homeground.

First time in about 20 odd years I've chosen not to go. Until the WRC, and the event change direction I'm not bothering anymore. I'm sure it will be good, and I hope everybody enjoys it, but it's time to say no.

It will continue to be unnoticed by the majority of people/ media, but that seems to suit those in charge.

Going to go to watch "beginner" style on Sunday, at Brenig, with two Egyptian mates - one of whom has never seen a rally before. First time I've watched it "live" since 1995 when McRae won the rally and the title.

To be honest, given constraints of family, work, being away for the Mull Rally 2 weeks ago and other hobbies, the beginner style suits me. I can't be bothered sleeping in the car for 5 days and walking miles through the forest to find a decent spot, watch the cars once and move on.

Age, it's a terrible thing!

If only the rally was long enough to make 5 nights in the car necessary!

Did shakedown yesterday and just about to leave the camper for Myherin 2.

Why do you need fireworks right through the night? Why do you need horn beeping and ffs turn your engine off, don't get me started on quad bike w@nker!

Enjoying the actual rallying though!

Heading for Dyfi in the campervan once I finish work. First time in about 10 years, although I usually manage to see one national event a year. Too excited for a man of my age. Agree it's a shame about Elfyn though.

Breen gone? He was 6th on SS4 but wasn't listed for SS5?

Due to the date move it clashes with daughters birthday, and missing that is not an option. So left home 0830 Thursday, headed to marshal the ceremonial start, with a quick visit to the service park. Helped set up the start competitor parking, and then oversaw the parking of competitors. It was great being so close to the cars, had a nice chat with Duggan, about the Vauxhall Adam. Once we'd broken down the area, headed back to service and grabbed a bite to eat while having a wander round.

Headed to Myherin, arriving at 11.30pm, woke up at 04.05am for marshal signing on and headed to junct 3, where I dozed until getting up at 0645am. Was a great area to marshal, the Irish supports that turned up as the Citroen WRC supports club were a great laugh. Saw the 80 odd WRC's twice and the 82 Nationals once. Stage finished at 3.30pm after junction breakdown, out by 3.45pm home for 8.05pm. 36 hours, 470 miles and great fun. Really enjoyed it, WRC cars are fantastic on full chat clap

I had to turn down a VIP invite from RallyGB organisers for tomorrow - the wife would have killed me if I'd disappeared on a corporate jolly just a day after coming back from a week away on business!

Was really gutted - not been to see rallying for a good couple of decades.

After our route to Dyfnant was more of an adventure than anticipated, we had a good day out at the right hand hairpin near the finish. Quite a variety of lines taken with a couple stalls and mechanical issues. Moment of the day was Suninen massively overshooting the corner going through the red tape and narrowly avoiding a marshals car! Speaking of marshals it was fortunate the 0 car stopped and got some marshals to move, Suninen would have wiped them out!

It's not the RAC, apparently it's Rally GB but I think it should be re-named The Invisible Rally.

I've just tried to find some tv coverage and there is nothing, my Bt tv box has only found 2005 wrc highlights which sadly shows how much rally has disappeared from sight.

Here's the top ten from 2005 after round 5

Loeb
Solberg
Martin
Gronholm
Gardemeister
Rovanpera
Panizzi
Duval

Is there any tv coverage of rally gb 2016?

Isn't all WRC in the UK just a 1 hour (45 minutes once you account for the advert breaks) highlights package on C5 (previously ITV4) nowadays at some point the week after the event? I think BT Sport run a package of some form too although from memory it's mainly an extended highlights package showing action during the weekend with the occasional live stage thrown in.

Edit - just did a search online and surprisingly found this listed on C5 for Sunday lunchtime:

http://www.channel5.com/show/world-rally-champions...

Live coverage of the final stage of Rally GB - Just like Formula E on ITV4 last year, and so far C5 this year, I didn't even realise they were showing anything live as I haven't seen an advert on C5 promoting it. Although that's not that surprising as they tend to mainly just advertise their awful benefits shows continuously instead.

BT Sport also appear to be showing a couple of live stages on Sunday morning too, but the rest of the weekend is 30 - 45 minutes highlights / update packages spread throughout the weekend.

What year was it that Carlos Sainz did the exact same thing ?....and Ford pulled all their works cars out.

That was Myherin wasn't it ?

I was on that stage but not at that corner.
