One's loose at the Rally GB. Joint eighth on shakedown. I suppose it's a swansong run as I cannot imagine BMW allowing them to fund a replacement.

Swansong? The "works" Mini WRC hasn't competed for years. Some of the cars are in private hands now eg the one that finished third on Mull a couple of weeks ago.

Is it a MINI or MINI Countryman ?

The cars that Prodrive used and got cancelled were Countrymans weren't they ?

Maybe but it's the only one where they actually made a car that was pretty close to the WRC Car. The Countryman JCW ALL4. I think the Yaris could well take over the ugly stick.

I'm a classic Mini man but I think that's got a certain brutish charm. Off to Wales when I get out of work so hoping to see it on the stages tomorrow.

I liked them, there's quite a few over here in Ireland and they sound cool. It gets a bit boring with all the Subaru's so to see these out is always a nice treat!

the MINI started life as a S2000 spec car before being upped to full WRCar for events this season. Still one of the best sounding cars on the scene thumbup

Prodrive will still work on the car for customers. Same as they still provide support to some of their Subaru's. tho I imagine it isnt a cheap venture for privateers!

There's also 1 or 2 Countrymans in world RX, run by JRM.

Saw 1 race in Germany 2 weeks ago and there was a 2nd car in the pits that didn't turn a wheel all

weekend, with Guy Wilk's name on it.

Liam Doran raced a car, till he got sacked for something completely unconnected with the sport.

pretty much. when you kick off at an event with a massive social media base and cameras rolling all the time you'r not going to get off scott free. especially when you've been filmed damaging someones car. think there was a connection with illegal substances too wasn't there?

There was a rumour that some white powder was involved, but of course despite the video evidence of him being a total bell end all his fan boys were still straight onto social media to defend his honour in the hope they might get the chance to have a go in his rallyX car for being so loyal...
