Gary Densham gave an insight into the cost of Pro Racing on NHRA's sitewww.nhra.com/counter.asp, go to 23rd Nov. He spends over £100,000 a year on tyres! Amazing, as he's on a very limited budget, compared to the Forces of this world, so saves money by doing limited testing, staying in Motel 6's etc.

never knew it was quite that bad, knew the basic arind $2000 a run if nothing breaks, but 100k on tyres alone....

on a side note Gary Densham won't be running independant on a limited budget anymore, hes part of the Lucas Oils stable for 2007 along with Melanie Troxel, Mike Ashley and current drivers Morgan Lucas and Tony Bartone (see dragracingonline.com) great tos ee Gary with some big money behind him again

The last number I heard was around $10,000 a run when everything's (crew salaries, travel, lodging, support equipment, etc.) included. What you get when you have to rebuild ever run.
