Luke Bennett has been in touch as promised with details of his new ride for 2007, this very pretty altered (right) which he is importing from the USA and which brings the tally of blown-alcohol altereds in the team to two.

"The chassis is Spitzer, built to 6.00 second spec", sais Luke. "It has a fabricated full-floating rear end and a 1932 Bantam replica body. It will come with a Powerglide/transbrake/converter, but no engine. I will be building a blown Big Block Chevy for it, basically a simular set-up to our old engine with which we ran a 7.031. It has all the usual bits and pieces like chute, wheelie bars, wing etc.

"I am arranging shipping at the moment. The car should be over here in January, and will be rebuilding it throughout 2007 and hope to make a début in 2008.

"Any companies reading this, do you want to get your company name on two blown methanol-burning altereds? If so then you can contact us through our web site at www.bennettracing.co.uk.

Neat car Luke, what's the wheelbase ?
Oh,just to remind you that it's an unwritten rule in the NFAA that if you have a Bantam body, you have to run Nitro, heh, heh, heh....
