Launch technique was left foot on the brake, let it creep until I lit the pre-stage and staged light then hold it with the left while the right hovered over the throttle. Hitting the throttle on the ambers still gave me a shabby .4958 rt, still nailed the 735i to the tree though hehe

If the other driver had not staged, I tried to build some revs then release the brake and mash the throttle on the amber.
stage, hard on the brake, then hit the throttle, load up the converter, release brake on the last amber......whhheeeeeeee
Thats what tried to do, actaualy pushed myself though the beams once by not applying ehough brake. Also they were running a Pro Tree not Sportsman so I hit the throttle when all three lights lit at the same time.

The devil is in the detail. Hartge rebranded and used a new typeface after the E30 so the graphics would need to be reproduced from the original car not the mock up you posted. See pic

So far I have spent two & half years searching for period parts for my car and the future project.

I need to stress that what I want to make is a replica of the car used to promote the rally car, it will NOT be a replica of the rally car. I know sick and twisted mentality, but it gives me free rein to do what I like to the interior, engine, gearbox ets and I don't have so follow any set rules.

Any chance that you'll be anywere near SCR this saturday? Dave B took his daily driver (e33) to 12 second quaters with a sniff of gas. Broke some stuff along the way. finally saw the light and bought a Transam. He'd be happy to share any secrets with you. If i twist his arm.

Does anyone know anything about the car in the other lane on the last of the OPs pics ?

I passed that heading north on the M1 on Sunday evening.
As I approached it I wondered why someone had made an off road BMW saloon but as I got level spotted the big rev counter on the dash, headers visible under the front wings and bits of engine protruding through the bonnet. Propper old style gasser !

Hopefully it doesn't belong to anyone here... I understand it was a small block Chevy in an E34 5 series and was painfully slow, considering the amount of noise it made.

I was there with the same bunch 'o nutters, and was bitten by the bug... Forced induction before I go back.

8 years on and I was back at Santa Pod for the Ultimate BMW Show and thought I would have another go.
Nailed a 5 series to to the tree, he got me back due to double the engine size.
