What are the distinguishing factors? The curly rear spoiler?

The wheels, the black 'H' badge on the grill as opposed to red one of the Type R, the lack of Brembo brakes, the Honda Access front and rear lips and spoiler, no Recaros.

I assume it has less power? 160bhp?

Cant see if it has Recaros or Brembos from the pic though so i suppose you can tell by the splitter, spoiler and badge.

OK lads it is a Type S It has an auto/sequential box.I need one because I have spinee injury that afects my left leg. There are not many in the UK only a few AFAIK.I had never heard of a Integra Type s before I found it on the net.I had a Prelude Type S for 5 years, before that a FTO GPvR. I also had a Supra for 10 years! So I do like me Jap cars.As for the curly wing it was badly fitted in Jap land.I have no idea what the proper one looks like.I ant got any Bremboes or recadoes.(sic)It has a very nice black interior nice seats.I not sure of the BHP.I would to know, maybe a go on the rollers one day.It came to the UK last Sept an I think I got a bargain.By the way I am a OAP.

Very nice Woody. Especially for an OAP! biggrin

You don't see very many of those in the UK at all, I'd imagine!

I pretty sure the Japanese-spec Type S has the K20a3 with 163bhp, whereas the Type R has the K20a with 217bhp. The US-spec version of the car (the Acura RSX Type S) shares the Type S name but actually has the 200bhp K20a2.

You can tell the lack of Brembos because the Brembo calipers are big bright red things. I'll let you off the Recaros though cos you're right, you can't see that wink I'm actually not even convinced that rear spoiler is OEM, but I couldn't be sure.

Nice car Woody, btw smile

Ahh now we know why you see facelifts as better looking - your eye sights failing you wink

On a serious note, back in 2001, Honda released a semi/tiptronic Type R but only seen one of them in country (GT-Culture used to own it before selling it). Though i think you need to change the rims, they look tiny frown

Thank for the info Old Greg I will check the engine numbers. As for the wheels, they are 17" bigger would look crap maybe get it a little closer to the ground.I dont know if the bonnet is wrong,I have seen a few DC5s with black ones. Not carbon just black from new!I have refitted the wing and it looks better now,I think that it may be part of the Modulo body kit that is fitted.I wil post some more pictures of the seats and back of the car.A Integra DC5 54 plate with C-pack with 45000 miles on the clock I think that I got a bargin. Do you want to know how much I paid ?

Go on then!

(And now you mention Modulo, it rings a bell... Modulo is a name Honda use for a few of their add on bits)
