Thinking in advance.....
What types for an EP3 represent a good balance between price and performance?
Probably toward the lower end of the price spectrum.
Cheers

Don't see the point of running a car such as the EP3 and skimping on tyres. Put the best on it IMO.
EP3 always ran well on Potenza's!

went with FK452's on the front - the rears refuse to wear lol! So far so good. Very slippy during the first 200 miles, but broke in nicely. Also quite cheap! Type-R does not like soft sidewall tyres, imho, I had Toyo T1R's on the front before and the car felt a lot more "floppy". FK452's are much stiffer. Since FN2 has no spare wheel maybe should consider runflats - even stiffer sidewall.
(edit: just noticed EP3 - but FN2 is not much heavier, so similar rules should apply)

I'm running some Matadors on the front at the moment, they are a bit stiff when cold but progressive enough to keep you out of trouble. They would be s t on a track day, but they have certainly made my driving smoother on changeable road conditions. Seemingly they are wearing very well too.
