I'm sure he's on here already, no BS, can't be doing with it.
We (forum i help run) have close ties to honda, but as said that was (at that time) the only genuine one in europe. However not sure its here now.
Your right blue printed, but he spoken of almost unusable below 3k rpm. As you can kind of understand, but he said too brutal in real world.
On a side topic in here, future classic, or as it seems with japanese cars, do we think it will struggle to gain that kind of kudos? Senna link helps i know. I'm not sure tbh
I can't honestly see why there'd be any difference in tractibility over a standard car below 3K. As was pointed out. The type R has the same engine only blue printed. There are some subtle differences to other components. But nothing that would account for the differences described. The only issue I could see with the Type-R is ride quality on UK roads. The standard car has great poise and compliance. Whereas the R has much stiffer suspension and is no doubt better suited to a race track.
The NSX-R was not got in a good state when last sold, but as said it's received a lot of TLC since.
It would cost £200k to buy an NSX-R from Japan currently, plus 20% VAT, 10% import tax and associated fees. Personally find it difficult to see how it would go for any more than this now, but then i would have never predicted £200k a few years back either!

You can get an earlier NA1 Type R for a lot less than that.It would cost £200k to buy an NSX-R from Japan currently, plus 20% VAT, 10% import tax and associated fees. I think there is another in the country. It's based around the Harpenden, I've spotted it a number of times, most recently last week.
Could be a replica though!
I saw it today on the road by Brocket Hall. Registration is 'BEAST'. Can anyone shed any light on it's authenticity?Could be a replica though!
Probably the one built by an Irish Jap car importer/tuner. There are loads of giveaways that it's not genuine; lack of white headlights, huge panel gaps, interior etc.
Yes, you can get an NA1 NSX-R for cheaper. Hard to put a price on a mint one, but you're talking about £70k for one (not including import fees).
There is a facelift NSX-R now for sale in Japan for £154k - a relative bargain compared to the one up for £204k!

I'm pretty sure there is also a young female who owns a NA2 type R in the UK. Think her name is Lorna...She pops up on my FB news feed every now and again when she talks with a mate of mine.
The one that Lorna drives is a replica and has had an 02+ front conversion etc.....it is not a NSX-R in anyway shape or form.....and was converted by an aftermarket group in Ireland from an early standard car.SS
Hi I'm reading with interest all the comments. I know nothing 're the NSX but it's looking interesting and a possible contender. On a really helpful level its been said on here any early cars at 20k ish are crashed or cat C D or whatever....can you explain this amazing broad brush approach to all the cars for sale as I look today!!!
Please if you know for a fact that this is true and any are advertised without it being said then tell me please before I go and look at them!
Any other NSX chat or very knowledgeable links to any cars for sale at the moment?
Cheers Dave

1) mostly autos (which never seem to get crashed, or else never get put back on the road afterwards if they do)
2) the same bunch of crashed manual cars that have been on for many months (£22k orange pre-facelift, £30k red facelift, £35k blue facelift) and some of these are unrecorded (like the blue facelift)
3) a couple of uncrashed manuals (it's got some miles, but the green one looks good VFM)
There is another source of cars: get to www.NSXCB.co.uk and if you join and place an ad, you will get contacted by owners who do not really want to advertise and bother with the inevitable test pilots. That's how I bought mine.

And just to prove that a not so dainty Neanderthal Scouser can fit behind the wheel.............
It seems it's just the standard NSX steering wheel? I thought NSX-R had the momo steering wheel: All the NSX-R I have come across have the momo wheel and iirc there was no options regarding the steering wheel in the catalogue...
Is it really an authentic NA2 NSX-R? How does one tell just from the exterior?
