Low(ish) mileage is always one of the first considerations once a car falls into the 'collectors' market.

Exactly.

Nothing wrong with a high mileage car as long as it is priced accordingly. On a 2004 car of that mileage, there will be several items in need of a refresh unless already done and IMHE a detailed inspection by someone as Kaz, will highlight that. A car is a car etc, but the NSX has it's own set of parts that if left untouched can cause major damage, from the well know Harmonic balancer to a leaking oil pipe that can mess up the suspension. Neither one of them are items that most Honda dealers, or specialists, except Kaz ( IMO there is only one Real Specialist and that is Kaz, all others have used customers cars to learn about the NSX ) will bother to inspect.

Does it mean a high mileage NSX will fall apart, of course not!!! But Caveat Emptor!

That said, WTF on the suspension and gearbox work at <100k. Seriously, the NSX gearbox feels built to withstand a minor nuclear war, and even at 107k the dampers don't really feel that worn (I test-drove a 30k-mile 2002 car before buying mine at 90k...didn't seem to be much noticeable difference).
Good question. The two former owners (the two who had to dig deep into their pockets) were both NSXCB members, and from their postings there, there's no sign that this car was subject to neglect (far from it!)

Was yours a press long-termer or has it done lots of trackdays?
Neither! It was a daily driver for at least one rural GP. Is that abuse? wink

In supercar terms that's got to qualify as "one careful owner", surely?!?

Either way, sounds like yours is set until 200k or so...

Just to update and correct this thread, it turns out my silver coupe did indeed spend the first 19,000m with Performance Car magazine. I'm just collecting up the old magazines* now.

* (if any PHers have Performance Car from '93 to '94 to sell, please let me know if it features K2NSX!)

A bit late to the thread, but. FWIW, my 1995 NSX currently has 240k miles on it. Gets a proper hiding whenever it's used and has only ever needed routine servicing. God knows how much it's worth though. I guess the point is to me it has the same value as one with less than 100k miles.....

Great mileage ... Has to be the highest UK car by around 110k

Have seen this sought of mileage in the US regularly.

These really are well built, so with regular maintenance they do generally just keep going ...
