What sort of figure would I be looking at to buy a NSX NA2

One of the last coupe pop up headlight models with under 50k on the clock.

Don't see these come up for sale very often to gauge a budget

As you say, not many come along. With under 50,000m, I think you'd wait a VERY long time, and have to pay about £35k if it's properly maintained with no big items due.

I've not driven one, but those who have say there's not that much extra performance or economy over the NA1.

The six speed gearbox is nice. As is the extra bit of torque at lower revs. Yes, if you put performance manifolds and system on an earlier car, you will have a similar power output to an NA2. On the road however, a standard NA2 will only pull away from an NA1 noticeably when out of the power. But in the power, there really is very little difference. Certainly at anything under 100.
The problem with obtaining an NA2 pop up is there are perhaps only twenty or so left in the UK. If you're a purist however, an early NA1 non PAS car may be worth a look also.
£35K may get you one, but so few are advertised. Perhaps one a year. So, very much supply and demand. If you want one, best to advertise on the NSXCB forum.

yes

Post up a wanted on NSXCB. But IMHO £35k for an NA2 pop-up is now light - there's NA1s with similar mileage up for £30k, and they're 10x as common. I'd be surprised if a good one goes for much <£40k...whether that represents VFM is your call...there's a lot of good metal out there for £40k, but the NSX won't depreciate, and the NA2 pop-up is the rarest of the lot.
