I'm considering one of these as my next car, plans are to buy one early next year with a budget upto 6k so i'm looking around 2004 year cars or newer hopefully. Does anyone own one? What are they like to live with, do they chuck up any ruinous bills? Should be mostly used for family duties and total annual mileage of 5-6k. What would be the best engine to go for? Diesel seems pretty pointless with the low mileage i do

Thanks

Have a look at the FR-V also, your budget should get you a decent 1.8 car. Terminally dull but uttery reliable.

We had a diesel but it was faultless for the two years and 35,000 miles we had it for apart from tyres and brake pads.

We need the extra row of seats that the odyssey has and i don't think i could live with the blandness of an FR-V

I guess only the excitement of the Odyssey will do then....

i know it's like comparing blamange and custard in terms of driving experience but i meant visually the FR-V is very dull, they're on every street corner. At least the Odyssey is a bit rarer, it'll either be one of those or a mercedes r class

"On every street corner"!!! Must be an Essex thing. I can't remember the last time I saw a FR-V in Gloucestershire.

Could be, there are quite a lot of them round here. VW Touran's seem quite popular here too.

Quite like the idea of a third gen V6 Odyssey. All the ones I've seen have been Autos for the 4WD or CVT for the FWD.
