I had NAF 5F a coupe in black though it had been resprayed, what it was originally I don't recall, back in the late 70s. I loved that car though it wasn't the best. Cost me £295 from a used car dealer and I traded in my Triumph Spitfire for it. I'd read about them being the fastest sub 1000cc car ever and wanted one desperately.

I was young and stupid/skint when I had it and didn't look after it properly - never serviced it at all apart from playing with the carbs 'cos I loved the noise with the airbox off! It had a seriously rotten exhaust and I couldn't get a new one from anywhere - even Honda UK couldn't/wouldn't help, so it used to get taken off and patched periodically.

I loved the sound the starter made (sad I know)and, to be honest, everything about it. I leant it to my stepdad one day and he pulled out in front of a lorry in it! Last time I saw it, it was looking very sorry for itself with the passenger side front rather bent over towards the drivers side front.

I really missed that little car but it wasn't all bad as my StepDad bought me a Toyota Crown (saloon) for £795 to replace it! I may have misled him about the Hondas worth smile
