Hey guys,

I'm considering buying an EP3 Type-R, a 2005 model, what should I be looking out for? What Milage can they do before getting troublesome? Any input would be greatly appreciated smile

Hey JT,

This may be of some help to you, http://type-r-owners.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?8...

I don't think mileage is a big thing on these engines, just make sure you get one with a full service history.

Look for bad modifications as its rare to find them standard now, History obliviously, crunching in 2nd and 3rd gear, vtec coming in at just under 6k and pulling hard, Check for oil leaks and the useal.

Thanks guys!

Sorry pje, I've put a deposit down on one now.

Cosmic Grey, 2005 model, 51000 miles, FSH all dealer stamps, recently serviced with a 3 year warranty smile

Hopefully picking it up next weekend!

3 Year warranty on a 2005 CTR?

I wouldn't expect that to cover a lot! hehe

Welcome to the EP3 club. You will love it.
