Been away in Egypt for a fortnight so thought I'd give the Honda a run out as its been sat on the drive doing nothing while I'm away.
Sure enough, few condensation drips on the inside of the roof from all the cold weather. Nothing a quick blat round the block won't cure. Took her for some super plus then a bit of a warm up to get the heaters going.

Only really wanted to get her thawed out and everything moving but you know how it is- you've not driven her for a while and the roads are quiet and the revs are begging you to be unleashed...

but it is cold and damp...

and the roads are a little greasy...

and you can see where this is going.....

So I pulled in safe and sound for a warming Maccy D's and bumbled home. Stay safe out there people!!

Whenever i spin the front slightly or dial in a little under steer i always have the thinking in the back of my mind, what if i were driving a RWD car! Squeeky bum time no doubt

Strange how few posts there have been about S2000s over the past couple of months - or perhaps not! Mine is sitting under its winter cover on the drive looking shapeless and rather forlorn. However, when the sun shines and the roads are (mostly) dry it's great to roll the cover off and to see her emerge still shiny and ready to go. It's important to to give her a run periodically and reassuring that so far she starts instantly and runs as she should. Even so and as you say, care is the watchword. When my diesel Astra spins its wheels on apparently dry tarmac, you know there's not a lot of grip out there and this is not the time of the year to be exploring roundabout exit oversteer!

Just fitted some R888s to my S! Not taken it out in the rain, but seems to behave ok - just got to remember not to go sily until the springtime!

Mines been on axle stands as I suddenly found a nasty bit of corrosion on the rear end of the near side cill, which resulted in me chopping a lump out and fabricating a new bit and welding it in !

Possibly but rwd road cars are set up for understeer anyway, and even push understeer...unless one is brutal with the throttle of course.
The exception seems to be my GT86 which will oversteer on turn in even off the throttle. Funny once or twice but getting a little annoying at times, at least this time of year. Why are the road so greasy ??? I don't mind the wet but even in the dry there doesn't seem to be much more traction...

Probably because it's too cold for summer tyres to be effective. Once the temp drops to around 7 degrees, you really need to be on winters.

More like 1 or 2 threshold IME. That 7deg is marketed by bollards. Mich super sport consistently outperformed winter tyres down to that last year.
