Saw this mentioned over at blatters.com.

I really like the look of this - could be great fun. A modern take on the Honda Beat: Autocar article.

63BHP of goodness for £11,000.

Looks like Mugen wants to play too.

From the article:
Honda aftermarket firm Mugen has wasted absolutely no time in creating a new styling upgrade for the just-released Honda S660 Roadster. With an obvious attempt at toughening up the spiky little kei car, Mugen has revealed an aerodynamics package that adds new bumpers, extended side sills, a new spoiler, new front grille, darkened taillights, new 15- and 16-inch rims, and a new hardtop.

From the Top Gear item on the S660

Under the current rules, Japan's Kei-jidosha can be no more than 3.4m long and 1.48m wide, with tiddly 660cc engines.

So, in essence, what you have here is a two-thirds scale version of the new NSX. There's a driver-focused cockpit, mid-mounted, 660cc three-cylinder turbo engine sending power to the rear wheels through a short-throw six-speed manual

A seven-speed flappy-paddle CVT is available, but you don't want it. Because, like the similarly-sized Caterham 160, we're told the Honda development team engineered the S660 to put a smile on your face.

That is all wink

That's the first reference I've seen that there is any other option than the CVT. Slightly less depressing news!
I was secretly hoping for a 6.6 litre though.....

Good news everybody!!!

http://wot.motortrend.com/1504_we_hear_more_powerf...

Only downside is it looks a little bit slab-sided from the various photos from the press day a few weeks back. I guess we'll have to wait to see what it's like in the flesh.

126hp in something that size! This makes the decision to go for the new MX5 quite a bit more difficult... If only Nissan would tell us what they're doing with IDX, if anything.

Dear All,

this is perfect for Mrs Noise*.
I wonder how many Christmas and birthday presents I could miss by buying her one of these? smile

regards,
Jet

*I think I can convince her that it's hers. Even though it would have to be garaged. At mine biggrin

Does anyone know how to finance a car import? I really like the look of this and beer mat maths show it will be around £20,000 to import and get on the road and I don't have that sat around so I figured I'd ask on ph as we're all known as such huge fans of finance....

Why not wait a year or so until the 1 litre version arrives here? All signs are pointing to that happening.
