Hi there, I bought one of these a month ago and it's due for an annual service. It's an 09 car with just under 48k miles and it's got a full Honda service history (last serviced a year ago at 39.9k miles) and I'd like to keep it that way. Its on every 12 months/12500 miles.

I'm not used to using a main dealer so finding their online booking a bit confusing.

I have to choose between Manufacturer service (£745, 75k or 6 year) or Standard Annual service (Interim, Main or Major). Even the major service is a few hundred quid cheaper than the Manufacturer service. So what's the difference?

The manufacturers service then comes up with a list of optional extras like brake fluid change (49.99), coolant change(64.99), valve clearances(£100), transmission oil change (£75), vehicle health check (free) with boxes I can tick. Seems a complete rip off to ask for over £700 and then ask for MORE to do these things.

So I'm stuck at which option I need to choose. As far as I know valve clearance will need doing at 50k so should I choose manufacturer service and get them to do it now? Help greatly appreciated.

Personally I would take it to one of the well known Specialists like TGM Sport I'm sure it would be far cheaper and they would use genuine parts. £700 seems like an awful lot for a Major service. Valve clearances are usually done every 25k miles as far as I'm aware.
