Hi all, been offered a good(ish) deal on a 2006 Accord 2.0i EX Tourer, 96k mls, 6mths MOT.

Last MoT had this as an advisory: Play in steering rack inner joint(s)

Is this something to be wary of? Want to say yes tomorrow & collect on 24th or 27th ideally. Any other questions worth asking, car is 85mls away so deal to be done over the phone without viewing (have done this numerous times with no issues, assuming the right questions have been asked).

Rear brake calipers can bind (they can be rebuilt) and the tailgate motor can (and will) fail but the boot can still be used manually.

Apart from that you should be alright. I had a 2.4 Accord Tourer and it was a great car.

I didn't have any steering issues with mine so can't help I'm afraid.

Have a look at the 7th gen Accord section here....

Is it the blue one in Cornwall?

Nice one, looks like the advisory may not be anything to worry about then. In my experience, advisories tend to disappear the following year anyway confused !

No, still here, just not had any steering problems on my 2.4 tourer!

Great cars. Had ours 12 years from new. Still can't bear to part with it. very smooth to drive. Only problem has been rear brake calipers, Original exhaust lasted 11 years. The new one had to come from Honda themselves.
