I recently bought a Honda CRX Del sol turbo and I am trying to find out as much info on the car as possible. Does anyone recognise the car by its reg J829 MHC? Its green metalic in colour and obviously had a lot of money spent on it at sometime. It appears to have a chipped ecu but it also has boost pressure related fuel pressure regulator????? I cannot post pictures of it at the moment because I don't know how to.Tomorrow I will be removing the head to get it skimmed ready for a new headgasket.I will also be fitting new timming kit and uprated engine mounts. banghead

Don't know the car.

What engine? D16 or B?

Its all about proper mapping! every forced induction engine that has a bad map will go bang! Thats why I do not understand why someone has had the ecu properly chipped, then stuck some old fashion boost related system on it?????

Well engine back together! laugh Engine not runninging smoothly.Couple of runs up and down the road not impressedconfused Compression test shows one cylinder well down on compression, one slightly better and two very averagebanghead Head back off pistons removed, two cracked pistons and one of them the oil ring was rusted to the grooveeek This has now become a complete rebuildcurse Oh well at least when its back together we will know whats been done to it!!smokin When we had the head off I forgot to mention that the engine already had a block guard fitted. Some past owner had loved and spent money on it.Now its my turn!rotate
