catalytic converter for JDM ITR DC2?!?!

Hi All,

firstly, apologies if im posting this in the wrong location... im looking to pick the brains of the collective knowledge on this site. as its never let me down before! im about to put my ITR DC2 through its MOT to get it back on the road after a short hiatus but I know for sure its going to fail on emissions due to the Cat! which I cannot seem to find a replacement for (not sure if buying a used one would suffice)can anyone provide any advice on A, where can I buy a replacement cat? or B, any alternative setups? whilst remaining road legal of course! :S

I had the exact same problem with my 97 spec JDM DC2.

I purchased a Tegiwa Sports Cat (pretty sure direct from Tegiwa) and got that fitted. It's a while ago now but I'm pretty sure the exhaust system mine was running when I purchased it included a Cat of some description (not original) but it was knackered.

My friendly MOT tester did point out that even with the Tegiwa Cat fitted it was still right on the limit to get it through emissions (it took a couple of attempts) so that is something to keep in mind, but it worked. It also had no noticeable effect on performance so I was pretty pleased.

I can't remember how much I paid for it but it wasn't hugely expensive.
