The premier edition has tinted back windows, momo steering wheel and embosed Type R front brake calipers, among other things i think, been a while since i checked! For that money i would want a premier edition.
You're missing the best bit - The Recaro seats!

You're car looks lovely though, low mile standard ones will always get a bit of a premium. Not many of those left!

Ah yes i knew there was something else loser What a numpty... cracking seats though! I only do about 6k miles a year but ive used it pretty much every day since 2007, it is garaged but used every day... its not great in snow!

I think the reason the prices are pretty good is due to so many that have been ragged about and not looked after, well looked after ones will hold a premium.

Well, I didn't get it frown

Seller agreed with me at £5.2k, but someone came along tonight and offered him more than that and he sold it. Gah.

There is always another one! Surprised someone offered more than the asking price, i don't think that happens very often

Price started at 6.2, then down to 5.7 and then 5.5.

Final selling price was apparently 5350, and the seller got to keep all standard bits to sell on.

Buyer was a 15min drive away, I'm 8hrs!

There are quite a few for sale for CTRO, although they may not be what you are after. I think you may know that already though as I think I have spotted the car you were looking at which just sold wink

Yep, there's nothing on CTRO that interests me currently, and yes, you've probably spotted the one I was talking about.

Check the pistonheads classifieds - privately. Anyone selling a good one will want good money for it in todays market - so expect to pay it, period. The dogs are priced cheap, as they are crap!

Jenzo - do you have a ballpark as to what you think your car would sell for ?
My car sounds very similar to yours, and I'm trying to decide whether to keep it or sell. Ive a Focus RS on order, and was offered such a low trade in that I'm thinking of just keeping the Type R.
Mine is also on 48k, 2006 Premier in nighthawk black, and I've owned it for 10 years now. I bought it from the main dealer in Glasgow when it was 5 months old - first owner was the dealer who loaned it to Rangers, who they used to sponsor.
It's in superb condition all round, totally standard apart from the stereo, and all MOT's and receipts from new. Servicing was main dealer for the first 3 years, then Honda specialist ever since.

Hi Ian.

Sounds like we have similar cars - only that mine is Cosmic Grey. If I sold it, I would not take anything less than 7.5K for it and I know I will sell it for that. I would be aiming for the same if I was you : ) Good genuine examples are hard to come by in the market now and demand is high for well cared for EP3s that have not been caned.

Really? I suspect the market for a £7.5k UK car is going to be small.

Bloody hell and here was me thinking 5.2k was a bit expensive for a UK car!

Hi Jimi

We are talking about a car here with 48K miles, a premier edition with FHSH. Under Honda warranty its just had: major service including plugs, 2nd gear syncro done, complete new clutch, brand new steering rack, x4 oem tyres, discs and pads all round (3K bill alone for that work)-car is like new and bone dry underneath - its worth 7.5K all day long.

I don't think it's worth that, but that's just my opinion:-)

That's getting into DC5 and S2K territory.

I'm sure it's a cracking example though!

Yeh theres no way you would get £7.5k for an ep3 no matter how much you just spent on maintenance.

These cars have a ceiling currently until they become classics.

Btw, 2nd gear sync, new clutch and new steering rack and it's only done 48k?!

Tbh, that would have alarm bells ringing for me.

Indeed. My friends had done 120k miles when he sold and never needed a new steering rack or clutch.

Only thing that's gone on my 06 was the motor for the squirty water for the rear screen, never had it fixed as i don't use it!

I have just spent a small fortune getting 3 of the brakes refurbed though, to pass MOT driving
