Looking for alittle help, my honda jazz has developed a headlight issue over the past week. When I'm trying to switch on the headlights, the low beam only comes on intermittently.
The high beam works ok, all the other lights front/rear are all fine.
It's obviously not the bulbs, as the high beams works (same bulbs), and also due to it being an intermittent problem.

I've checked online and there isn't any sort of recall via honda official website, but there is afew other sites (including AA) that have stated there had been a recall for this specific problem (dipped headlights not always coming on). I rung the dealers but they say they don't have anything on their system for a recall, I've told them about other sites mentioning this issue, which does seem quite specific, but said the only thing I can do is book it in for a diagnostic check, which is £51.
Is it a strange thing where there's details of other websites having this issue down as a recall, but honda themselves saying there isn't? (it's not a new car, 54 plate).

have you had the bonnet up ? id carefully look over the wiring to make sure its not chaffed/worn , check the connector plug is clean and check the earth is clean and tight

next would be the switch ..might be worth trying a used one if not too expensive

I've seen quite afew of the websites above, but it's the dealers that are the problem. Firstly there is no official recall for the idsue on my car, so when speaking to the service department, all I'm told is that I'd need to book the car in for a diagnostic check, and basically pay for whatever work they'd need to carry out.

surely if you put your VIN in the Honda recall system, it will tell you whether there was a recall on your car - it may be that the work has been done already.
