Honda Jazz wheel downsize query

My 11 EX has the 16 inch wheels with the expensive tyres.
I'm giving serious consideration to changing down to 15 inch one with 65 profile tyres for the increase comfort (more sidewall) & lower replacement tyre costs.
so far so good - however I don't want to get Honda oem wheels, I'd much rather pick my own.

So I now know what to look for when I go onto the various wheel sites.
The only problem seems to be the ET rating (55) Wheel offset which looks to be somewhat unusual and is severely restricting my choices.
soooo my question is - how important is it? can I go up or down a little?

By the time you've bought the wheels and tyres and told your insurance company you've modified the car... you'll have paid out so much you'll never get the money back in the small saving you can make on tyres.
The OEM 16" wheels take tyres costing £61 for Bridgestones, £65 for Dunlops, or even up to £75 for Pirellis. If you really want to be extravagant, you can have Continentals for £85.
You could potentially save £15 a corner, or a whole £60 a set by switching to the smaller wheels.
It really isn't worth it!

mmmm it wasn't just for the tyres, 65 sidewalls have more flex on the s
tty roads too, plus the michelin energy savers are getting on for £100 a corner.
I take the point though, maybe I'll just get the existing wheels repainted and suck it up - it's not like I'm going through tyres at a rate of knots anyway. I'll probably only change once for the life of the car until I move it on in a few years.
